Clean friendly lovely location
Good location close to the M40 in nice grounds with good facilities. The EV charge points are very handy for a top-up overnight.
It was unusually hot weather so the lack of air conditioning in the rooms was a problem. Portable fans were provided which helped a bit.
Great hotel, children considered and catered for.
We liked everything.
We had been chosen as guests of the day so had an upgraded room complimentary mini bar and a drink from the bar.
We were with 4 friends eating together one being disabled needing room for her scooter, having pre booked a table months ago. There was no table allocated to us. We had such a long wait for staff to attend to us, as they were busy seeing to corporate companies tables. We were offered complimentary bread and olives. After we had finished our main meals we were yet again forgotten to be asked if we would like dessert we had to approach a staff member. At breakfast we had to ask for certain buffet items to be replenished. All in all sadly not a good dining experience.
Good value for a quality hotel in a good location. Good facilities and a lovely setting. Breakfast very good.

We didn’t have breakfast but we did eat in the bar in the evening which was nice but on the expensive side for a bar meal. We thought the games room was a great idea and it was completely free. Pool was lovely and changing areas were clean and tidy.
We arrived a little early for check in, only about 10 to 15 minutes but were told the room wasn’t ready and asked to wait in the bar, when I went back I spoke to a different person, I gave my name, she couldn’t find me so asked could it be under another name, it was under my email name, which made me think the first person just asked us to go to the bar because we were early. How could she know our room wasn’t ready when she had the wrong name? I would prefer honesty, eg I’m sorry madam we can’t check you in until 3pm 🤷♀️
Friendly staff who looked after our group when we asked for help
No a/c in the rooms, although they provided a fan it was very humid on the second floor.
We stayed in a standard double room, which was a very good size and comfortable…housekeeping was very good and replenished water and biscuits etc daily. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. During our stay we did use the pool a couple if times, it’s a decent size and was good to see the staff testing the water.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the room we stayed in only had a shower over the bath which due to my wife’s mobility issues, she was unable to use. We had tried to book a room with step-free access and a walk in shower but there was no availability during our 3 night stay.
Showers are available in the pool changing area but these did not offer much privacy due to the glass doors.
Location and cleanliness
Room temperature was far too hot and fan was somewhat pointless.
I come here once a month for breakfast and I am never disappointed. The staff, the food and the atmosphere is one that makes me keep returning
