Everything about Stratford Manor Hotel was Brilliant
Beautiful location
NIL
Lovely hotel set in a beautiful location. Just outside of Stratford with a bus stop at the end of the drive so its very easy to get around.
It caters very well for Gluten free plenty of options for evening meals and the breakfast has plenty of options, gf bread/ crossants etc and even had lacto-free and other alternative milks.
The stay included access to the pool and fitness facilities, we didnt use the gym but the pool was lovely as was the steam room and sauna. It is a nice touch that they also provide the towels for the pool so no need to bring an extra.
The games room was well set up and the outside patio area had giant jenga, corn hole and chess etc, which is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the day.
The room and bed were very comfortable and quiet, and I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.
The only thing I would say is that the bathroom had a few parts missed on the clean but other then that it was all good.
I visited with my niece and MIL for a one night Spa break. The rooms were immaculately clean, the service from all staff was great, friendly and professional. The Spa treatments and staff were a highlight. Jade gave me a hot stone massage and really focused on a problem area for me after I briefly mentioned it. It really helped and was such a good experience. I couldn't thank her enough. I made a booking error for my family treatments and Mally was so accommodating and helpful. Fabulous service. I definitely recommend the hotel and especially the Spa treatments. Thank you.
I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed with a smile on check in. We booked a superior room which was on the ground floor. A little dark and overlooking bushes but very comfortable. The hotel has a very nice bar area. We had breakfast and it was very very good and well worth the charge. Everything you could ask for. Definitely recommended. We also used the restaurant for an evening meal and the crispy fish and chips is exceptional. The pool was lovely and warm. The hotel has a very nice outside seating area but unfortunately we didn't use this because of the weather but it would be a great place to sit if the sun was shining. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful place and amazing restaurant
Excellent facilities
Great helpful staff
Lovely food
Great location
Lovely pool and spa
Nothing it was perfect
Lovely nights stay here. We used the pool, steam and newly renovated sauna. Room was very clean and tidy with the usual tea, coffee etc. didn’t use restaurant for dinner but had breakfast. The buffet breakfast was excellent with everything you could want available. Staff very attentive and constantly refilling. All in all great stay
Pool was lovely, staff friendly and helpful.
Wheelchair access to the pool was difficult as the doors were opening in different directions and large towel trolleys were also blocking the space to access the changing rooms.
Easy access to stratford on avon.
Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely peaceful pool. Nice room.
Laura at breakfast, Patrick in the bar, and Ruby on reception were exceptional.
I've been a spa member at Stratford Manor since last autumn and visit regularly to swim, use the sauna and steam room. The facilities are lovely, but what really keeps me coming back is the welcome I receive every time I walk through the door.
Megan, Emma, Ruby and Daisy on reception are all genuinely warm, friendly and approachable — it's such a pleasure to see familiar faces. That personal touch is rare and makes a real difference. I always leave feeling looked after.
Highly recommend Stratford Manor, not just for the spa but for the whole experience their team creates.
We had a lovely family stay at Stratford Manor. The kids especially enjoyed the pool, outdoor games and games room. We spent each evening outside with drinks and snacks while they played giant chess, Guess Who, Connect Four, Jenga and cornhole.
Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, the staff were all very friendly, and a special thank you to Rebeca for keeping our room spotlessly clean. The public areas were also pleasantly air-conditioned, which was much appreciated as we happened to visit during the hottest week of the year.
A couple of small points for improvement: the fan in our room wasn’t really sufficient for the heat (fortunately we had brought our own), and in the games room the table tennis table was positioned a little too close to the pool table. I’d swap the air hockey table with the tennis table. The retro arcade games are a great idea, but one was out of order and the other was difficult to work out without any instructions or labeled buttons.
swimming was good, Lounge and bar was great.
The toilet does not flush well after used.
Less option on breakfast. Coffee was not the best too flat
No boiled egg or well done egg options
Lovely breakfast. Restaurant and bar food was a bit pricey and the menu was quite limited with no sandwiches in the evening. Rooms were well furnished and comfortable although a little squished for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Children not able to access the pool after 7pm on Friday evening which was disappointing and limited access time during Saturday. Also the ppl was looking tired. Changing rooms were too small for the number of people in there. Carpets were worn on the edge of the stairs making them quite slippery.
Dear Customer Services,
I am writing to formally complain about our recent overnight spa break, which I booked as a birthday gift for my husband.
The purpose of this break was to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful experience together. After researching spa breaks in Stratford-upon-Avon and seeing your venue rated so highly, I felt confident that this would provide the quality experience we were looking for. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
Whilst the 25-minute treatment we received was enjoyable and the therapists were professional, the overall spa experience was extremely disappointing. During our visit, the pool and sauna areas were occupied by a large group of more than 20 young men from a football team. They were shouting, jumping into the pool, splashing around and generally behaving in a manner that was completely inappropriate for what is supposed to be a relaxing spa environment.
The level of noise and disruption was such that we felt unable to use the pool and sauna facilities at all. We were not the only guests affected, as it was clear that other spa guests were equally frustrated by the situation. Having paid over £250 for an overnight spa break, a significant part of what we paid for was access to facilities designed for relaxation, yet we were effectively unable to enjoy them.
What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of management intervention. The two young members of staff working in the spa appeared uncomfortable and out of their depth when dealing with the disruption. We were informed that they had contacted a manager from the hotel because their own manager had left early. Despite this, no senior member of staff came to the spa to assess the situation or take any action. Instead, management’s involvement appeared to be limited to speaking on the phone. I find it unacceptable that no manager attended in person, particularly given the size of the group and the impact their behaviour was having on paying guests.
I felt sorry for the spa staff, who were left trying to manage a difficult situation without the support they clearly needed. As guests, we should not have had to spend our visit wondering whether the disruption would be addressed. We booked a spa break expecting a calm and relaxing atmosphere, not one that felt more like a busy leisure centre.
Although the treatments themselves were pleasant, the overall experience fell far short of the standard advertised and the expectations created by your reputation. The primary reason for booking this break was relaxation, particularly as it was a birthday gift for my husband, and unfortunately that objective was not achieved.
Given that we were unable to properly use and enjoy the spa facilities due to circumstances that were entirely outside of our control, I believe it is reasonable to request compensation. I would appreciate a partial refund or other suitable gesture of goodwill in recognition of the fact that a substantial part of the experience we paid for was not available to us in the manner advertised.
I look forward to receiving your response and understanding what action you intend to take regarding this complaint.
Yours faithfully,
