Historical amazing and stunning hotel!
Everything was perfect!
The most beautiful hotel! Great location, friendly staff, great restaurant! You wake up to the piano music calling you to breakfast - magical….my room - the presidential suite was like a fairy tale…
History, location, comfort, ambiance. It was exactly what we had hoped. We had one of the suites and it was stunning.

the hotel is a landmark destination for tourists to visit and we got to stay there
My wife and I stayed here for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast was excellent. All of the staff were very helpful and made our stay very special. The piano player was charming and played all of our requests. Our room was stunning. Best room I've ever stayed in, spacious comfortable, and very quiet. I read the reviews before I came here and I would recommend this beautiful historically important hotel to anyone.
What an elegant and luxurious experience! We booked a deluxe room in the corner that was palatial. The whole hotel exudes grand historical architecture! I felt like I was living with all the current day luxuries in the 18th century! It's location was both convenient and central to the shops. Love the room keys and locks. The staff were delightful and attentive! Will definitely return!
Historic building. Convenient location, walkable to all in Centro.

Great location to central! Beautiful historical hotel. If the walls could talk. Awesome service.
Very nice old hotel in the heart of downtown Queretero. Service was good and beds comfortable. Would recommend.
Beautiful historic building in the old center of town. Churches, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Quiet surroundings at night and air conditioned rooms.
The hot water took a long time to reach the room but the staff was very kind and helped resolve the issue
The Shower
This is a review for the small room on the third floor- I think it’s called Santa Maria?
Absolutely beautiful and iconic hotel..really special to stay in such a historical place surrounded by the incredible Baroque architecture..The bed comfortable, bathtub was nice to have, breakfast was excellent. The staff was amazing as they compensated me for an uncomfortable room.
When I booked the room, the listing clearly stated “ air conditioning” and “ breakfast included” .. this is what I saw when scrolling through available listings in Queretaro.. I clicked on it and decided to treat myself to such a special stay. When I arrived, I saw the air conditioning controls on the wall then I went out. I came back around 9pm and went to turn on the air, but it didn’t work. The room was sweltering. There were only two tiny windows that opened onto an adjacent rooftop. I turned on the fan but it made a horrible screeching noise. There was no phone in the room so I had to go all the way down to reception. I was given a new fan and told that “ this is the only room at the hotel that does not have air conditioning” .. It was very hard to sleep. The next morning, when I went down to breakfast, they said “ breakfast is not included with your room”..But they gave me the free breakfast fast anyway to compensate for the uncomfortable room. For $150 USD a night, in such a legendary location, why wouldn’t the property include breakfast in every room? Why just the “ presidential suites”, and why isn’t this clearly stated in the listing?
Beautiful historical hotel. Large, well-appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Lovely lobby.
It would be nice if breakfast were included.
Everything
Nothing
Horrible. Shower drain was slow and I pulled out a wad of black hair (I'm blonde!). Told the front desk clerk and even showed him the photos I took (see photos!) He did nothing. The next day there was NO water coming out of the shower. We had to walk across the hotel to a different room to shower. I barely had any water. The water stopped altogether when he was mid-shower. I never complain, but that was the last straw. Spoke to a manager before I had to rush off to dinner. I received an email at 10 p.m. after I was in bed saying that I could change rooms if I wanted. I spoke to a manager the next day. She said that she had contacted the director of the hotel but hadn't heard back. I prepaid 3 nights at the hotel, and they never did anything. If you're curious about the historic proberty, go, look around, maybe enjoy a meh breakfast with beautiful piano music. But do not stay here. Go to Doña Urraca for US$10 more a night.
