All was great
Location is fantastic .
The bedrooms are incredibly noisy. You hear everything from the corridor and the adjacent rooms . The rooms need refurbishing.
We ordered drinks in the roof top bar which were never delivered. I had to go to the bar myself and collect . No apologies offered . The staff in the bar are extremely unprofessional
Dinner on the last night,
The rooms are barely furnished and are more suitable for overnight lodging
The location was good, close walking distance to waterfront and restaurants.
We did not enjoy the bathroom, it was very small and the shower was in the bathtub.
Tho location was great.
My room was dated, scruffy, parts were dirty, the bathroom was awful, black mould round the bath, it was filthy with scum and hairs everywhere. Holes in the tiles with wralplugs hanging out , yellow urine stains behind the toilet. The walls in the bedroom had a huge greasy mark and grubby marks all over it.
Sweet wrappers under the bed. Full length mirror was broken in two places.
Complained about the bathroom to reception and a cleaner was sent who sprayed the whole unventilated bathroom (also no window) with mould spray and wiped the bath with a dry cloth at 9pm. I asked her to bring back some scrubbing brushes, scouring pads, some proper cleaning spray, she came back but o soon found that she just didn’t know what she was doing. She had obviously not been trained or had COSHH training. We gave up, shut the bathroom door to stop the chemicals coming to the bedroom and checked out the next morning as soon as we could. When I checked out I asked about speaking to a manager and the receptionist gave me a card and said the best way to complain was via email. I did just as she said sent an email the next morning and I could not believe how rude the response was. Vanessa the “guest manager “ got me mixed up with another guest who spent some time at the desk with her chatting, asking for toothbrushes, she accused me of working in a hotel and dismissed my complaint. Really unprofessional. When I explained she had got my identity mixed up she did apologise and agreed to refund me 50% of the total cost but after that email dated 16th June I’m still chasing it up and haven’t had a response to the email I sent last Saturday. They said they’ve sent the money to booking . Com but they haven’t heard anything from The Crowne Plaza.
Beautiful place, very clean, comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Great value. Would recommend.
Location was great for armed forces day
Staff were busy, not enough staff and some gave military/blue light discount, some said they didn’t.
Lifts take ages -waited 7 minutes for a lift.

The pool was a nice touch although very tricky to do lengths in due to the shallow end.

Its position
As it was a heat wave We came provided with no warm clothing to cope with the chilling impact of the air conditions.Increasing The temperature regulation on the A/C controls made no difference to the temp.A/C contributes 4% of global greenhouse gases; and clearly such an inefficient system is totally unsustainable .
They could not provide us with a table in penthouse restaurant which had been a major attraction to us on our Diamond Wedding anniversary; meaning that we had to go out in the thunderstorm to find an eatery; difficult as we are vegans, due to catering for a coach party.
The steakhouse restaurant is unsustainable in an age where Climate change mitigation demands a reduction in meat and dairy consumption.

The breakfast was amazing, excellent choice of wvery breakfast item anyone could ever want.
Enjoyed the swimming pool facility.
Room was well equipped and clean.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Lovely view from the restaurant/ breakfast room.
Nothing we'd change, except to stay longer next time!
