The loction is great for the Barbican and the Hoe. I felt a little bit let down by the standard of the cooked breakfast. I like poached eggs which were available but they were rock hard and I didn't like the black pudding at all (normally I love them) and I thought that the hash browns were undercooked. I took in four breakfasts and have to say that I felt the same at each breakfast.
I went into the health club on three occassions. On my second visit there was no shower gel in the male showers. I reported this as I left and was told that they knew about it. I went in again the following day and there was still no shower gel so I had to get into the elevator all sweaty and go to my room to take a shower. I find it hard to believe that the hotel had run out of shower gel which they provide in all their rooms, so I can only put it down to a bit of a 'can't be bothered' attitude!!

2 singles bed making the large king double.
Half of the bed the springs were broken
My wife fell out of bed cause the springs on the side had collapsed and provided no support.
The bathroom was not clean and was old

Close to where we needed for a Wedding
Room service czme in while we were out and took away our towels and only replaced with 1 small which we didn't notice u til the following morning, hit shown to a nice window seat for breakfast, went up to get our food and when we came back someone else was at our table so we had to make do with sitting away from the window, staff apologised but it has been a bit if a disaster. Not very good signage in where the door to reception was when parking in the carpark until you actually get to the door. No other signs to say what way to the door. I could go on but I guess we wont be using it again.

The hotel itself is lovely but the room we were allocated was poor. It was ground floor and next to an external door leading to generators/aircon units and the noise was awful. The carpet had so many stains that a hotel of that quality should always attempt to remove
