Хотелось бы отметить, что все наши пожелания, которые мы написали при бронировании были учтены. Отель расположен в приятном месте. Очень красивый вид из окна, наблюдали потрясающий закат. Сотрудники ресепшн очень оперативно устранили все проблемы. Очень комфортный матрас и подушки. На завтраке большой выбор блюд, различная кухня. Единственно, что было мало свежевыжатых соков, только апельсин и морковь.

Cons:

В женской сауне была низкая температура вечером, пришлось подождать пока нагреется. Если хотите посетить звоните заранее.

Overpriced and a relic of the past
Pros:

An outdated relic, with some very rude staff. Being a platinum club ambassador member ,I was upgraded to king club lounge access high floor and a email to that effect was sent to me. At the time of checkin the front desk guy name Darien refused to provide lounge access as he said it was not hotel policy.
Upon a written complaint via email to IHG the hotel agreed after 2 days, result being I could use the lounge only for 2 days out of my 4 days stay.
The hotel is over priced, the breakfast spread is not so lavish but very expensive. Best to avoid.
The carpet in the rooms and hallways are old and need to be looked into.
Location of the hotel is good.

Pros:

This is a very nice hotel, and it’s centrally located. The staff is outstanding, the rooms are spacious l, and the breakfast buffet is delicious

Resort hotel in downtown
Pros:

We stayed 2nd time with my mum and sister. Had wonderful holiday. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is so clean and beautiful. i would like thank Mr.Ibragimov at the front desk and Mrs.Gulbakhit and her team in the breakfast restaurant and Dariga from the lobby bar

Overpriced and fading legacy of a hotel.

Very outdated- including everything from the carpets to the furniture. Everything in the decor of the room was rather worn with carpets pulling up in multiple locations. And lot of issues with the front desk giving me packages that we sent to me and handing over packages left for others.

Отличный сервис и невероятно гостеприимный персонал. Все сотрудники были очень доброжелательными, внимательными и профессиональными. Завтраки просто великолепные -большой выбор и очень вкусная еда. В отеле царит роскошная атмосфера, красивый интерьер и высокий уровень обслуживания. В целом отдых оставил очень приятные впечатления.

Cons:

Несмотря на прекрасный сервис, номера уже выглядят немного уставшими и нуждаются в обновлении. Душ в ванной не очень удобен -вода легко вытекает на пол из-за конструкции стеклянной перегородки. Дозаторы шампуня и геля для душа нажимаются очень туго и выдают средство медленно. В ванной были замечены следы плесени. Подушки оказались неудобными для сна. Также возле кровати не хватает удобных розеток для зарядки телефона. Утюг в номере был довольно старым и для пятизвёздочного отеля его стоило бы заменить на более современный. После реновации отель стал бы ещё лучше.

Extraordinary service
Pros:

This is a story about the extraordinary kindness, professionalism, and humanity of the concierge staff. Days after we checked out I realized that I had lost a small earring with sentimental value. On a long shot, I emailed the hotel, and was astonished that the earring had been found near the elevators and turned in, presumably by maintenance or housekeeping. The concierges helped me arrange for a courier to ship it back to me in the U.S. Instead of treating me like a nuisance, they stayed in touch, provided the information the courier required, and let me know when the courier finally picked up the package. All communications were warm and friendly. I will be forever grateful.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer at this elegant, opulent, and welcoming hotel. Visit Almaty, and stay at the Intercontinental. In every aspect, it was a beautiful experience.
