Good hotel, spacious rooms
Pros:

Good location for Termini station - about 10 mins walk. It's good to be near Termini station for arriving from the airport and taking the metro. It's walkable to some main signs in about 30 mins, but need to take the metro to other places like the Vatican. The staff are friendly and rooms are spacious. It's all very clean. The bathrooms are a little dated in terms of decor but a good size and the shower is good. The lifts are a little small and old fashioned but it's a fun experience!

What A Joy
Pros:

A smallish BW hotel within a 12 minute walking distance of Termini (main station).
I was welcomed by an amazing friendly and welcoming gentleman. His name badge divulged his name, but I guess an alias, as Joy. How appropriate.
I had for the first time in my life reserved a single occupancy room. When I inspected the room and bathroom. I thought it was quite amazing that everything was there. Closet with enough hangers and a minibar too. The shower room was well equipped.
I called it a cosy room. Airco working very well. Housekeeping standards very high. The room it self looked as new, apart from desk and bedside cabinet which were quite dated. I was told that next year the whole floor would be renovated. as they have already done 2nd and 3rd floor. As far as I see it they only have to replace desk and bedside cabinet.
I had a few requests and they were dealt with by Joy quickly. This receptionist is a huge asset for this property . He certainly deserves a good raise.

Met name bij het ontbijt super vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Elke ochtend een vers gemaakte cappuccino. Prima ontbijt en ruime keuze alleen zou er iets meer variatie mogen zijn.

Pros:

Location was good, but that's all you can say about this hotel. So out of date. Had to shower in the bath with a nylon curtain as cover. Room was tiny. Very noisy. Poor insulation between rooms. Couldn't fully close front shutters, so heard cars and people all night.

Cons:

This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, at best it's a very poor 3 star or an average 2 star. Tiny rooms, shower in bath with nylon curtain rail. Lift was dirty. Ceiling tiles falling down.

Not what's in reviews is reality
Pros:

Hotel is very far from Termini Station. Furniture was at least 50 years old. Breakfast surely not of a 4 star hotel, nothing you see in the pictures. Only I lift which can fit 2 adults.
