Extended Stay America Suites - San Diego - Mission Valley - Stadium

The hotel is outdated and tub and faucet have mold on it. The oven is rusted and found bugs in the toilet. They charged me higher price but hotel is nothing or worse than motel. The front desk person had attitude and when requested to check the lights, he just said he would send people but seemed he was the only person at the hotel reception. I told him about the mold issue on the faucet and he just took picture and said we would see what can he do and left. Also lobby had weed smell at night and bed sheets were not washed. AVOID this hotel please.

MY BOOKING WAS CANCELLED!!!! Talk about horrrrrrible customer service. Having to sleep in the car with TWO babies because when I got to the reception to check in after a long day of traveling with kids and to top it off a crash so what was a 15 min drive to the hotel turned into 1 hour, the receptionist was not there. A couple comes out the elevator to wish me luck on reaching someone that they have tried for the past 20-30 min. When i called from the phone that is in between the doors someone finally comes out to help me at 12:31 am just to tell me i was marked as a No Show, and at 12:34 am she tells me she can look to see if there is a room available for me. She proceeds to say if you dont check in by 12:30 you are automatically cancelled and marked no show by the system. Like hellooo, i was in the lobby WAITING for someone to help. Then she looks up at me and says sorry there is no more rooms available…. So you mean to tell me, because I waited for you to come out my room was cancelled, yet on the app it showed as confirmed…. And there is no rooms available???? How is it that in 1-4 min it was booked? Or is it that you just decided to cancel my booking due to over booking your hotel? That is insane to me. NEVER have i ever had this happen to me before. I have stayed at an extended hotel before and checked in later than 12:30 ( due to being in a theme park) and at other hotels and have checked in later than and never has my room been cancelled! It is insaneee! I booked for a reason. I am not about to stop my visit half way just to drive up to the hotel at check in just to make sure it does not get cancelled. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY AT THIS OR ANY EXTENDED STAY HOTEL ! The most horrifying experience every with a 4 year old and a 5 month old! Had to go hotel to hotel and everything was booked. This is exactly why rooms are booked with time. Its crazy you decide if a person needs the room or not. Its paid for. Best believe this is going to escalate.

The shower was suck looks like they running out of water. Tried to shower my daughter it took too long and not hot the more I turned it up the less water it get. Not to mention the front desk was slow.

Too dirty and smelly

My reservations was not honored due to over booking. I had booked weeks in advance and the hotel didnt respect my reservation.

The smell and cleanliness.

Stuff tried to do maintenance in my room. Why the hotel did not the maintenance in rooms not occupied or booked rooms that has todo maintenance? Additional they waked me up early in my rest day. I suppose to rest in the morning, that’s why I’m booking in the hotel and they knock the door at 8:00 am trying to get in my room when I was not decent to attend anyone in my privacy. The room 400 dollars, was too expensive to what was and additional to interrupt my sleep in my rest day.

There were a few individuals hanging around in the parking lot that made me feel unsettled at times. My television did not work.

The smell is prominent.

When I arrived, I was informed by the lady at the front desk that there were no rooms available, despite booking the room days before and having a confirmation number. The lady blamed booking.com saying....the site over books and relies on cancelllations.
Rarher than help find availability at a different ESA, the lady simply said to call booking.com and cancel the reservation. Worst service ever by Extended Stay America and booking.com!

The location was close to an event. But when I walked in the lobby it had a stitch of old smoke. We asked to used the restroom while waiting to check in. Front desk said no public restroom. We were guest at this point. The room had no toiletries. The tub had a ring of old dirt and the faucet was leaky with timescale that had not been cleaned. We booked a room with a kitchenette. But nothing was included. Found something said to call front desk to have utensils delivered. That was not the case. She said that she would put together what she could find and to come down in 20 min.
They allow pets and the dog barked for an hour. Trash and dirty linen were always in the lobby and the elevators had water on the floor 2 days of our stay.
