Everything
I felt very welcome, especially by the night staff!! The room was good, had everything that was listed. Had a wonderful stay, and it is close to the train stop.
You could hear the water in the pipes, but this wasn't such a big issue. Also, the bed felt a bit dented the first night, but once I reported it, they immediately fixed it.
Room was newly decorated, breakfast was typical of hotel buffet style breakfast but well stocked and the breakfast room was clean and well maintained.
Even though the room was newly decorated, it was obviously done in a hurry. There were paint marks all over the bathroom floor and the shower handle in the bathtub was not attached firmly.
Good location
Very noisy. AC and fridge were very noisy. And you could clearly hear the guest on the upper room walking.
The night manager, Keith, was very friendly in greeting me at check in. His positive attitude set the tone for a very nice stay.
Room somewhat dated but clean. Had minifridge and coffee maker. Covenient parking at hotel (fee appropriate). If that wasn't available, the local on-street parking in that neighborhood is impossible. Breakfast amenities on par with other hotel chains.
Nice large screen TV at breakfast but had vapid computer-generated picture of a pretty beach scene. Would have liked to see the morning news. I was the only patron at breakfast. When an employee switched the TV from the beach scene to a morning news program, he was told by other employee that management wanted to switch it back.
Location
The hotel was okay — well located and with a good quality-price ratio. However, the staff was extremely rude during my stay for the Boston Marathon.
Before arriving, I asked if I could ship my race outfit to the hotel, and they confirmed it would be fine. When I got there, they told me they had lost the package (which was pretty expensive, by the way). They couldn’t provide any clear explanation of what happened and simply said they may have given it to someone else.
To make things worse, the guy at the front desk even screamed at me and was very disrespectful. Then, when I was leaving the hotel, the same guy tried to sell me a massage device that I honestly believe another guest may have forgotten there.
Overall, a really bad experience on my end. It’s a shame, because the location is actually very convenient for the race.
