Pros:

We waren zeer snel te voet in het centrum - enkel de brug over en een paar straatjes.
Ondanks verschillende negatieve recensies over de ligging (vlakbij donker park), vonden wij de locatie ideaal, zeker als je de grote weg even volgt en 's avonds niet de route via het park neemt.
Ruime parking.
Ideaal voor een tussenstop op weg naar het zuiden.

Cons:

Het enige negatieve puntje: het vast tapijt - is nogal verouderd en dringend aan vervanging (door iets hygiënischer) toe.

This is not a 4 star standard hotel.

No restaurant for Saturday night dinner. No bar for a drink. shower over a very small bathtub did not feel safe. No top sheet on bed, only a duvet cover. Too hot, had to remove duvet to get an improvised (double) sheet.
There was a loud group of people holding an outdoor party until about 2:45 am just below my 4th floor room. Kept me awake. Closing windows and running the air conditioner was not an option..airco loud and inefficient.

Albergosituato a pochi minuti dal centro a piedi, in posizione comoda e facilmente raggiugibile con l'auto.
È dotato di parcheggio proprio (a pagamento)

Das Hotel liegt nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Beim Hotel ist ein Parkplatz für Gäste. Mit der Straßenbahn (Haltstelle zu Fuß in 5 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt) ist man schnell im Stadtzentrum, wo es u.a.nette Lokale gibt.

Cons:

Im Hotel gab es abends keine Möglichkeit, etwas zu trinken. Während unseres Aufenthaltes war die " Bar" geschlossen.

Toplocatie in Besançon
Pros:

Het hotel is gunstig in het groen gelegen aan de overkant van de rivier. Je bent te voet op 10 minuten in het mooie oude stadscentrum van Besançon. Ruime parking naast het hotel. De stad beviel ons, ondanks een hittegolf, heel goed. Aan te raden;om te bezoeken; de hoog-gelegen Vauban Citadel boven de stad en het imposante uurwerkmuseum dat zich in het 16de eeuwse "de Granvelle" paleis bevindt.
Voor de geschiedenisfreaks; Antoine Perrenot de Granvelle was een bisschop/kardinaal en raadsman van keizer Karel V en later voor zijn zoon Filips, toen onze vorst. Hij werd belast met de kerkelijke hervorming van de Nederlanden. Dus ook bij ons in Vlaanderen. Een belangrijke maar controversiële figuur uit onze geschiedenis. Granvelle was een verwoedde kunstverzamelaar. Zijn collectie werd gered en overleefd in zijn paleis Granvelle. Besançon is nu de eigenaar daarvan.
Kortom, de moeite waard om te gaan bezoeken.

Over het personeel kan ik kort zijn. Allemaal vriendelijke mensen.
Goede bedden. Ruime kamer.

Cons:

Niets viel ons in het mercurehotel tegen!
