Nothing to find fault with at all. The second night we stayed we hadn't booked for dinner but the staff accommodated us.
We love the swimming pool ,steam room etc. and the member of staff on duty was very helpful.
Love the ironing board facility in the room.
The room we booked was a bit cramped.It was a standard room.Other than that the bed was extremely comfortable, and although no air conditioning with the window slightly open the temperature was acceptable even though the weather was so hot.

Malheureusement il faisait très chaud dans la chambre, impossible d’ouvrir plus les fenêtres qu’un petit interstice (question sécurité je suppose) mais pas vraiment pratique dommage et manque de rangement dans la salle de bain pour poser ses affaires.

The general manager was exceptional and made me feel incredibly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic, great buffet options and perfect hot food choices for my taste. Good quality and plenty of coffee/tea available. The hotel toiletries are genuinely some of the best I have ever experienced, very luxurious and I thoroughly enjoyed an early morning swim, sauna, jacuzzi in the leisure area.
My only criticism would be that in my particular room there were signs of age/ damp on the exterior window wall (however it is a very old building) and the bath in my bathroom had at some point been re-enamelled or painted and it was all peeling off.
Nice building, and the facilities were good.
The room was 29 degrees for most of the night. The fan supplied was terrible and the windows opened about 20cm. I know they can’t control the weather but it was just uncomfortable and not what you want to be paying money for.

Bedroom & Bathroom were dated. Walls were very thin & could hear next door chatting.
No A/c and just a small table fan to try and keep the room cool. Bed was too hard.

One lady on reception, rude and miserable
WiFi difficult to connect to with Android appliances. WiFi kept cutting out all the time. Worst we've ever had even when abroad.
The en suite was tired. The drainage was bad in bath & sink. Mould round the bath & rust around the plug. I would not have sat in that bath. The bath panel was MDF & bits dropped off on the towel.
Dinner menu was limited & each night the same choices.
No security in the changing rooms as lockers have no keys.
Hot breakfast was great, staff were very friendly and so helpful .
not too much variety for those wanting continental breakfast.
The building is tired and needs work doing, the windows in our room for example, desperately need replacing. Consequently quite a lot of road/street noise could be heard.

Great location, ideal for visiting the area. The car parking made this a great choice. The pool, sauna and steam room were also great; very relaxing after a long day visiting the area.
The food was disappointing - the bacon at breakfast both mornings could have been used to resole my shoes. The meal on the first evening was disappointing; I enjoyed my liver and bacon, but my wife's fish & chips was very poor - the fish was tasteless. We went to a nearby pub to eat on the 2nd evening; that was great, good food and much cheaper.
