A lovely hotel in the centre of town. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Superb breakfast on site. The staff were very helpful and resolved an issue that we experienced with our room.
The evening menu could of had more variation. Had to change rooms as we lost power due to what was believed to be water ingress following rain.
My room was large and comfortable and, though a little old fashioned, the shower was excellent. I had a lovely swim and sauna upon arrival, followed by an excellent meal, served by friendly staff. A really good stay.
The breakfast was good obviously local meats and produce.perfect location for Harrogate,Newby Hall and York.Also Ripon and Ripon races.
Not really struck on decor in rooms but it's their brand.

Traffic noise and bed had very hard mattress.
Clean, well equipped room. Friendly service. Lovely choice of breakfasts. Expresso machine in room was a bonus. Swimming pool a delight. Interesting decor and good to see black and white heritage photographs showing the history of the pub and town.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from and they also did lunch and dinner.

Very convenient for an overnight stop and dinner when travelling up the M1
The facilities are great for the money. We had an upgraded room which we really appreciated and was really nice.
The choice in the buffet was limited. I would have liked more fruit choice & pastries.
There was nothing on the dinner menu that suited us even the pasta dish had spicy sausages.

There was some concerning mold in the bathroom and the room temperature was a bit too high to sleep comfortably, even without duvet
