Don’t waste your money!
Pros:

We really wanted to enjoy L’auberge, but felt like for the price we paid, the service didn’t live up to expectations. On our first night we stayed in the cliffs and were woken up every hour by noise in the room above. It sounded like they were emptying marbles onto the floor it was awful. We complained and we got upgraded to a cottage which was so kind of management (Liz was amazing), and we were given a lovely room. We were also really looking forward to the complimentary stargazing with the local astronomer on our first night but it got cancelled last minute with no explanation. The guys from the valet were lovely, but definitely felt some of the other staff members weren’t as friendly or had as good customer service. I also found it bizarre they didn’t have room service before 7.30am. Most 5 star hotels allow you to order 24/7 and because we were waking up at 5am everyday from jet lag, we had to walk ourselves to the lobby to request ice and hot water to make drinks. There is a complimentary coffee and tea room but it’s all the way in the cliffs so unless you’re staying up there it’s quite a walk. The hotel itself is quite nice aesthetically, I personally don’t think it’s worth over $6k for a week - I’d go and stay at Mii Amo or Enchantment resort next time for the same price.

Amazing birthday experience
Pros:

Came for my grandmothers birthday and had a great time. The food was amazing, our servers Shyanne and Keith were exceptional and the rooms by the creek worth every penny! Will be back soon!

A Trip to Remember
Pros:

We had an excellent experience at L'Auberge! The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, the staff was warm and attentive, and every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. The food was outstanding, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special vacation experience.

Great people, but charging too much for what it is.
Pros:

The hotel took a little getting adjusted to. Maybe my expectations were high because I thought it was part of the Auberge Collection of hotels, which it is not. Still, I think the hotel is overpriced. First impressions are that it needs a major refresh. And maybe it does, but I convinced myself over my four nights there that I should lean into the unique character that comes with being in a cabin overlooking Oak Creek. Still, I think the hotel is overpriced on most levels. At $1800/night, we set a pretty high bar for the facilities and service. While everyone that works there is amazingly friendly and wants to be helpful, they seem held back by not having the tools to provide great service. They have perfected how to say "yes, but that's not my job..." Simple things like asking the front desk to help make change for tips -- can't be done, but go ask the valets to help break bills. Want to book a cabana at the pool for the day? That must be done through the concierge, after 10AM, and....the concierge is located in a different building on the property. It just got old. When I got my final bill and tried to reconcile it versus the effort I had to put into the stay, it's just not worth it.

All great...except the value
Pros:

We had a great 3-night stay at a Creekside Cottage and dinned at Cres. Everything was great except the value given the high prices and 10% resort fee. We were going to stay at the Cliffs but the poor reviews scared us off. The Cliffs actually looked but then we imaged from the past reviews and might consider them in the future.

Missed the mark
Pros:

This property is extremely unique. It is located on the backside of Sedona’s Main Street. It is very steep and you must be able to traverse steps in order to access the pools and other highlights in the hotel depending on where your room is. We had to hike up more than 50 stairs to get to coffee in the morning. The rooms are recently remodeled. The disappointing parts were the extent to which we could hear other guests through shared walls and the spa is quite dated and uncomfortably small. For the price, we expected more.

The facility is excellent and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful and the views were amazing. The only recommendation I would make is with respect to increasing adequate clothing storage in the rooms

This property is exceptional!! The grounds are gorgeous and we loved the creek side restaurant. The view from Duck Pond pool area was breathtaking and therapeutic. The resort staff were incredibly accommodating and provided outstanding service. This is resort is hands down one of the best I have ever stayed at.

Very Disappointing…
Pros:

L’ Auberge is surviving on a reputation built years ago but no longer applicable. The facilities are old and tired, with much deferred maintenance. Our cottage was $2k per night, but had stained furniture, dirty grout joins in a shower that smelled moldy, cracked tile floors, an outdoor shower that would not drain, damaged door casings and baseboards, a cracked entry door with daylight through the cracks, sporadic wi-fi service…just overall disappointing. The Cress at Oak Creek restaurant is hugely disappointing and certainly does not measure up to the other excellent options in Town. Would highly encourage selecting other options for both accommodations and dining. Sorry, L’ Auberge may have been a top 5 selection in years gone by, but not in its current state.

FIVE STARS... Great resort...Great location...Top NOTCH
Pros:

I visited Sedona for the first time this Monday. I was originally booked at the Amara with a friend, and while the check-in process was lovely, the room just didn't quite align with my personal taste. Knowing I might need a change of scenery, I walked next door to L’Auberge de Sedona, a property I had previously researched.

The moment I stepped onto the grounds, the atmosphere shifted. The cozy cottages and upscale ambiance felt immediately more comfortable. At the front desk, I was met by Celene, who handled my unique situation with incredible grace. Although a room tour wasn't available at that moment, she kindly offered me a pool key so I could experience the property's amenities first-hand.

That "feeling" made all the difference. I decided then and there to reserve a room, even though it meant walking away from (and forfeiting my money paid for Amara) the reservation next door. It turned out to be the best decision of the trip.

As someone who frequents the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, I have very specific standards for a getaway:

Tranquility (especially at the pool)

Ease of access

Exemplary service

I look for staff who truly anticipate a guest's needs, and I found that exact level of care here. Celene and Milena at the front desk were instrumental in making this trip a success. Even though L’Auberge is three times the distance of my usual "staple" hotel, the quality of rest and recovery I experienced made the journey completely worth it. I will absolutely be back.

Cliffs is so overpriced - highway robbery!
Pros:

I stayed at the Cliffs and it was NOT worth the $1500+ two night stay. It was like a remodeled motel and secluded from the main area - even the parking was separated. I asked for a quiet peaceful room due to being a fire victim in LA but got a bottom floor with people I heard above me all night. It was supposed to be my splurge solo vacation and it couldn’t have been more disappointing.

Serene and peaceful experience
Pros:

As others have mentioned, this property sits on a beautiful landscape and well maintained. The rooms are great (we stayed in the cottage) and the amenities, touches and overall status are great. We truly enjoy the serene environment and took advantage of the sessions offered by the hotel (meditation and sound healing). The pool (Duck Pond) was truly a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the view and sip on your drink.
The hotel and rooms and common areas (including the greek-side restaurant) is well-maintained, clean and all have the luxury touches you'd expect from a property like this.
The only minor complaint I have is regarding the busy lines at the front desk, bar, and almost every where else. You'd have to wait (sometimes for more than a few minutes) to order, get server attention, find the front desk person etc.
Staff is amazing, helpful and friendly.
No self-parking on site, so valet is the only option for around $35 / night.

Poor service, would not return.
Pros:

Overpriced and no luxury service. would not return. Property is cute, but don't expect any hospitality or timely service during your stay. Everyone "is just too busy" to help you when you stay there for $1200/night.

I wanted to love it…
Pros:

I’ll start by saying that the property itself is stunning and the views from the duck pool spectacular. A huge shoutout to Mr Hugo and Mr Q as they were very genuine, sweet and helpful.
That being said, I just couldn’t love it. They mentioned they would text us when the room was ready, but the text never came. After 4 pm we went to check in and they gave us the room. The view from the cliffs (new rooms) is stunning but the noise from the tour trucks in the back and the long walk down to amenities was difficult. Our VIP welcome amenity and note from travel agent was never placed on the room. The room was new and nice, but missing obvious things like hooks to place your towels or toilet tree bags in the bathrooms. It was a nice room but did not feel 5 stars.
The hotel has questionable charging practices. At breakfast they charged $10 for splitting an omelet without disclosing upfront there was a splitting charge. On the second day we were charged for items that were purchased from a different side of the property already just because they were at the table. The hotel charged us $75 per day!! for a rollaway bed that was neither requested nor was in our room. Even though i called them back after checkout to request this be removed and an updated bill provided via email, my credit card still shows the before removal of the fee cost so I will need to call them again to request this looked at. When I called them the lady on the phone also made me feel like I was a bother and not apologetic at all that this had been incorrectly added to our bill. The hotel offers different activities that are included in the resort fee, however after adding the room fee, parking fee, assessment fee, state fee, parking tax fee etc it ended up being over $200 per day of fees on top of the cost originally booked that said it included all taxes. I understand that resorts have fees but I don’t expect that to be over $600 for a 3 day stay.
Overall I wish I would have stayed at Ambiente…. All the checkout process, weird charges and the fact that they still owe me money has left a sour taste on an otherwise lovely property

We loved L'Auberge!
Pros:

A topnotch experience. Everyone we met (from the Front Desk to Valet to Restaurant Staff--to Bartender at Duck Pond) was wonderful. The property is beautiful, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. Our spa cottage was lovely, quiet, immaculate, spacious, and relaxing. Special shout out to Liz, Celene, and Rachel Smart at the Front Desk. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

First time in Sedona
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. Mia, at the concierge desk, helped us set up two Sedona Jeep Tours-Stargazing & Mystic Earth. Both were a treat and a great way to explore Sedona for the first time!
