Cons:

Oppholdet ble dessverre preget av flere utfordringer ved ankomst. Jeg hadde bestilt og forhåndsbetalt gjennom Booking.com, og ankom sent på kvelden etter en lang kjøretur.

Først fungerte ikke porten til parkeringsgarasjen. Etter å ha ventet en stund på svar fra resepsjonen fikk jeg beskjed om å benytte en alternativ parkering, men der var det ingen ledige plasser. Jeg måtte derfor finne gateparkering mot betaling.

Da jeg kom til resepsjonen for å sjekke inn, viste det seg at reservasjonen min ikke var registrert i hotellets system. Det tok lang tid å forsøke å løse situasjonen, og selv om personalet til slutt ga meg et rom, savnet jeg litt informasjon, beklagelse eller service underveis. Etter en lang reisedag gjorde dette førsteinntrykket ganske skuffende.

Selve rommet var greit, men vinduene virket dårlig isolert mot støy fra gaten, noe som gjorde det vanskelig å få en rolig natts søvn. I tillegg fungerte klimaanlegget dårlig, og det fungerte ikke å regulere temperaturen på rommet, som derfor ble ganske varmt.

Jeg kan ha vært uheldig med tidspunktet jeg ankom, og oppholdet var ikke dårlig totalt sett, men kombinasjonen av parkeringsproblemer, innsjekkingsutfordringer og romkomfort gjorde at opplevelsen ikke levde opp til forventningene.

L'hotel est très bien situé, et la déco nous a vraiment plu.Le personnel est au petit soin, toujours souriant. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est tout simplement extraordinaire. Nous avons pris notre repas d'jn soir au restaurant situé au 9 eme étage, une très belle expérience à la quelle s'ajoute une vue magnifique.

Cons:

Nous avions une chambre équipée pour personne à mobilité réduite dans la salle de bain.
Nous nous sommes posés si cela était le cas pour toutes les chambres.

The stay at this hotel made my visit to Alesund pleasant and memorable.
Pros:

The room had a wonderful view. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel. There was a good variety of food and the quality was excellent. Good coffee too! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There was noise in the middle of the night from loud revelry on the road in front of the hotel and loud cars for a short time that woke me up each night. Some guests were drinking alcohol and having a loud group gathering in the hallway near my room one night.

Big room, good location but no kettle
Pros:

Great location although it is up a bit of a hill, good views from the top rooms and big and well designed rooms, some have bath and some showers so ask for what you want. Friendly reception staff and a good range of items to buy eg fruit salad etc

Cons:

No kettle in the room or safe. It should be said that it’s the one place I’ve been that I didn’t feel that I needed a safe. The room does have a fridge but did miss the morning coffee
