It is a quirky old world charm kind of place.

Cons:

It wasn't all that central really. We were a long hot 29 minute walk from the Duomo cathedral. However the hotel staff were very good at getting taxis for us.

Pros:

Localização e bom custo benefício. Quartos espaçosos. Café da manhã bom, porém não faziam ovos. Pousada charmosa, casarão estilo italiano antigo.

Cons:

Ar condicionado do quarto não gelou, simplesmente não funcionou. Detalhe que estava 35 graus na cidade, então passamos muito calor. Avisamos ainda na mesma noite a recepção, porém disseram que só deveríamos aguardar um tempo que o equipe era antigo e começaria a funcionar, mas isso não aconteceu e depois tarde da noite não fomos mais atrás e no dia seguinte iríamos embora.

I appreciated the helpfulness with directons and hospitality.
Pros:

The breakfast was substanial with a lovely presentation and selection for a comprehensive breakfast. Also it was nice they packed a take out breakfast when I had to leave earlier that breakfast hours. Thank-you.

Cons:

I should have taken double room.

a fost curat, patul confortabil, marimea camerei nu o pot evalua fiind single, posibil e mult mai mica.

Cons:

Mobilier extrem de invechit, parchet gaurit, mic dejun foarte sarac, fara un ou, o leguma, se bazeaza pe dulciuri, am cerut mic dejun la pachet deoarece am avut zborul extrem de devreme si era deja achitat, in loc de un sandvich, am primit doar dulce , un mini-suc si iaurt care oricum nu il poti manca de drum, dezamagitor.

Lovely Hotel, vintage feel, well preserved historic building, attentive service.
Pros:

The location was great, walking distance to Porta Garibaldi Station, Brera district, Chinatown and major attractions. Bus/tram station right in front of the hotel. Spacious room, tall ceilings in a historic building.

Pros:

Je devais partir tres tot pour la gare de Milan Garibaldi. L'hôtel m'a fourni un petit dejeuner à emporter. C'était vraiment très gentil et m'a bien servi. L'hotel est assez proche de la gare, ce qui est bien pratique.

Cons:

La chambre donnait sur une rue passante donc était un peu bruyante mais je garde quand même un très bon souvenir de cet hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel San Guido in Milan. The hotel has a unique old-fashioned charm that immediately stands out - it genuinely feels like stepping into the atmosphere of the 1960s. The vintage furniture and classic interiors give the place character and personality, creating a cozy and authentic Milanese experience rather than feeling simply outdated.
The location is another major advantage: the hotel is only about a 5-minute walk from Milano Porta Garibaldi station, making it very convenient for getting around the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
The room was comfortable, and I especially noticed the large, wide sinks in the bathrooms, this is a small but surprisingly convenient detail. Breakfast was fairly simple and not especially varied, but still enough for a light start to the day.
Overall, Hotel San Guido offers good value for money and is a charming option for travelers who appreciate classic style and a nostalgic atmosphere.

Hyggelig familie drevet Hotell.
Pros:

Dette er et skikkelig Italiensk, akkurat slik vi vil ha det. Litt slitt men veldig rent og pent. Personalet er som tatt ut av en film om en italiensk familie.

Skikkelig Italiensk frokost, men det gjelder jo hele syd Europa 🫣

Late check-in without any concern or question. All the required documents were provided. Nothing special.

Cons:

The shower room and toilet room are of limited dimensions, which is insufficient for an average-sized individual. Consequently, I was unable to comfortably use the shower room. Upon attempting to sleep in that location, I was disturbed by the nocturnal sound of a tram, which significantly hindered my ability to fall asleep.
