Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Location private. Reception staff very helpful and polite. Decor and surroundings pleasing.
Could have provided a robe in room to enter spar. Could have a scanning entry system using key to enter breakfast area. Had to wait in a long queue to be seated. Cutlery should be self service. Waited while seated for cutlery to be issued. Went to hot food area and all food had run out. Kitchen seemed under staffed, replenishing was slow. Toasters weren’t working. Butter in a slab rather than refrigerated single portions. £25 for the food was too much. Unable to communicate directly with reception ref my booking. Kept getting international answering service who couldn’t help me. Forced to email.

The staff went above and beyond. They actually make this hotel the wonderful experience that it is. Spa facilities perfect.
Although the food was lovely. We waited half an hour for the main course to arrive.
At breakfast I requested porridge, which they make in the kitchen. After fifteen minutes it hadn't arrived so I enquired about it. It was brought out from the kitchen immediately. Cold!! Never mind, you can't win them all.
Loved the interior and exterior design, by far one of the more beautiful places we've stayed! Got a free drink while we waited for our room to be ready which was so nice! The staff were all so smiley and extremely helpful. The shower in the room was amazing. Will definitely stay next time we're down!
The pillows were the only fall back, I didnt have the most comfortable night but everyone is different and it may just be a me thing!

The staff make this establishment. Particularly Charlie our waiter was a delight
Breakfast chef should be highly commended. Though it’s the same offering as other IHG hotels, the freshly-cooked food tasted better and it was clear that he took pride and care in his work. Great eggs and hash browns.
Also, decent bedroom air con that was very welcome in the hot weather.
