Coral Sands Inn & Cottages

The location to pink sand beach is good. The water is beautiful. The property is very aesthetically pleasing. And the rooms are good size. Unfortunately, the service is not to the level that you would expect from a premium luxury property. Some of the staff seemed to dislike tourists. Food offer is very limited to only a few items on the menu and one restaurant on site. It is also extremely expensive. Drinks upward of $25-$30. You can expect food to run you $75-$150 PER person regardless of the meal type. You need a golf cart to leave the property where there are better quality options although still very expensive. The economic conditions of the surrounding island is poor and at times did not feel safe for 2 females alone. Overall, compared to 5 star properties around the world, this one is not a good value at over $1300/night for the room we chose. We would not return to Harbor Island nor this property based on our experience.

Coral Sands is the nicest place I’ve ever stayed! Everything was incredible - our room, lobby, pool, beach, basketball court, putting green, gift shop, and gym! The beachfront restaurant for lunch has the best fish tacos and margaritas! Be sure to reserve a golf cart before you arrive.

We came to celebrate the first birthday of our daughter. Harbour Island is a beautiful little island with a truly pink beach that is one of a kind. One of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been on. Coral Sands itself is a very beautiful and well decorated spot that fits extremely well into the surroundings. Jiggy, James and their team did everything to make our trip an amazing experience. The way made a huge effort to fulfil every wish of our little one and took good care of her.
The overall lack of friendliness and forthcomingness in many places of the island is one of the "development points" and made it a 4-star rather than 5-star experience for us.

After decades of travel all over the world, this is one of the hardest places to leave. While the island and color and clarity of the water are spectacular, what made our trip was the kindness of the people running Coral Sands Inn & Resort. Romanda at the front desk is now my friend. She went above and beyond to make our stay insanely comfortable and feel like home. Myckell loved greeting us and answering all questions working out any snags in off-property reservations. I can’t say enough about the entire team…all lead by the beautiful, elegant and gracious General Manager, Punky. With her at the helm, this breath-taking resort exceeded all expectations. We can’t wait to come back!

we stayed at the brett’s house and had an amazing time with you guys as my daughter got married to her husband that night we’ve share more than enough memories there i have to point out to the young gentleman with the fine body and lower tuned Voice he was friendly and well trained i think his name is Zander, He’s an professional at everything he did for us that night and i’m really glad we shared that night with him

If I could give my experience at Coral Sands 10 stars out of 5 I would! I recently stayed there with my daughter before her bachelorette weekend and I don't think I've ever stayed at a place that the staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating and genuinely cared about our stay! The room we had was perfect! I'd like to give a special shout out to Myckell Higgs at the front desk. She was beyond helpful and made my daughter's bachelorette week amazing and an experience that she will never forget. Denise and Romada were also super friendly and accommodating. We had amazing food and service by Emerald at the Beach Bar. Dora at the beach made sure we were happy. We can't wait to go back to Coral Sands. It truly is paradise.

I liked everything. It was so charming and the staff was brilliant. The food also was delicious.

Used to be our go to for several meals when on island. This trip dinner was terrible. Service was extremely poor and food was simply unacceptable. We ordered drinks with dinner and never received them. We sat 20 minutes staring at empty appetizer plates and finally had a pasta dish that probably would not even have been acceptable on a children's menu. We were warned by others but discounted it based on past experience. New owners need to get the establishment back on track.

Last January I made a booking at this hotel for next Christmas unfortunately I had a job issue and 10 days later I asked them to cancel it. But when they cancel the booking, they retain 50% as penalty. I explained that the booking was for 11 months later and they have enough time to fill up the booked room...they did not care. Not only I'll lose 6.500 dollars but I'm very surprised they think even 11 months ahead they won't be able to feel up their rooms in the high season in an island that hasn't got many hotel offers...is their structure that bad? Their customer service for sure is...

Our room with balcony was lovely, except on the last night when AC didn't work at all. The beach is spectacular. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant, called the Pink Mermaid, was awful and expensive. We tried it 3 times during week long stay, mostly just because it was convenient, and each time it disappointed.

A Wonderful Stay at Coral Sands

We just returned from a lovely stay at Coral Sands in Harbour Island and cannot say enough about what a special property it is. The hotel strikes the perfect balance of being attentive without ever making you feel watched or overwhelmed. The entire staff makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive.

Two team members in particular truly stood out. Dora, who runs the beach, is an absolute ray of sunshine. She makes every guest feel special and takes great care in making sure your beach setup is perfect. It’s also such a pleasure that there is no pressure to wake up at the crack of dawn to secure a beach chair on this spectacular stretch of pink sand - everything feels relaxed and well managed.

At reception, Romada is an absolute delight. She is organized, enthusiastic, and always willing to help. She greets guests by name and follows up on anything you might need with impressive attention to detail.

What makes Coral Sands so wonderful is that it feels welcoming and relaxed rather than stuffy, while still maintaining an incredibly high level of service. The property is also spotlessly clean, and our housekeeping staff was impeccable throughout our stay.

Coral Sands truly makes you feel at home. We look forward to returning.

The service at Coral Sands has been very inconsistent and below expectations. The waitstaff seems to lack proper training — they do not know how to serve at the table correctly, and the overall experience feels unprofessional. The general manager Chorten, was not kind at all — in fact, he was quite rude to our entire family.
We spent a significant amount of money for what was delivered. The hotel feels overrated, and the service standard does not match its reputation. In terms of service, it feels closer to a three-star experience rather than a luxury property. The only competent and genuinely polite person we encountered was Ponky, one of the hotel managers. She was the only one who truly helped us during our stay and showed a level of professionalism and courtesy that was otherwise lacking.

Spent over $400 for a date night at the Pink Sands restaurant and was called out to my face, for taking a pen as a souvenir. Wow! $2000+ a night at this hotel and they shame you for taking a pen. Maybe the management should be guiding their staff in a better direction. Embarrassing for all :(. Won’t be back!!

Wowww coral sands really outdid themselves with the renovation the place looks Amazing , everyone on the island was so nice I was greeted by they lovely bellmen and was welcomed at front desk with a warm smile and a tasteful welcome drink, the employees are so helpful and so funny One in particular Mya great humour and just all around a positive vibe She answered all my questions with patience and confidence, She was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Employees like Mya are the reason guests want to return.She truly represents excellent customer service.

The staff and service here was top notch,noteably Romanda at the front desk. Coral Sands also recently underwent a beautiful renovation. All of the design elements are so thoughtful and Harbour island perfect. Highly recommend a stay at Coral Sands...

Coral Sands is the best combo of everything that makes Harbour Island special. It’s small, safe, and beautiful. The staff and people on the island are always friendly, warm, and welcoming. There isn’t a bad room. All have magnificent views.
It’s tucked away at the end of Chapel Street and just a short golf cart ride away from the charming Dunmore Town. Steps from Pink Sands Beach (where the sand is like nothing you will ever get to experience anywhere else in this universe). It’s been a go-to for over 20 years.
