Very cute and charming boutique hotel. The rooms are all updated and are very clean. I would definitely stay there again if I went back. We had an ocean view room, which was very peaceful and beautiful. Keep in mind that the winds in March are crazy and we did not have very good weather. One day they had to cancel the boat over to Stocking island so we could not go to the beach. Then the next day the boat was broken. It’s a very small island and probably difficult to get things fixed and replace things. The biggest issue I had was not being able to run or walk anywhere as there’s no sidewalks in Georgetown, but that’s not the fault of the hotel. I wish there were a guarantee on some good weather. One day it was so windy that we could barely even go outside. Nevertheless, the best thing about this place is the staff!! Shout out to La Troy and many others who made our stay enjoyable. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where they got in contact with me before we arrived and asked if they could make dinner reservations for us. What a nice touch. Janice did all the reservations for me and she was very nice. We had dinner there several nights and the food was pretty good. I recommend the lobster. Make sure to book a trip where you swim with the pigs and get to see some of the out Islands. It was a very memorable trip in the water is absolutely beautiful.
Excellent food and wait staff
From the moment we arrived ( four hours early btw) the hospitality was nothing short of warm and welcoming. Ashvra greeted us with as if we had known each other for years and continued to delight during our entire stay. Zamaria was a beautiful, warm and charming face to see every day and a lovely server, making each meal a relaxing experience. (You have to try the crab cakes. Delish!!!) The accommodations were clean, nicely appointed and well kept. All in all, we would recommend Peace and Plenty to any traveler looking for a nice experience in Exuma.
This boutique hotel had everything to make our stay wonderful! The restaurant always accommodated our group, even without reservations. The bar staff were fun and friendly, and everyone we encountered greeted us with smiles. Our rooms had all the necessities and the a/c worked great. We even had ceiling fans! (Although they are not in every room at the hotel) The views from the balcony are too beautiful for words. Seeing sea turtles pop up every few minutes every day was a dream. The water taxi to Stocking Island was great and included! We would 100% stay here again.
So we have been traveling all the islands via our Cessna 206 flying & island hopping! It’s been a blast! Today we rented a boat and played the beaches along all the cays. Stopped at Peace & Plenty Beach Club on Stocking Island. Great stop! The beach is just right, the floating hammocks were perfect the swings, loungers, paddle boards & kayaks were perfect as well. But nothing beat the staff! Except the Mahi Tacos - we fish and catch & cook our our & were from California where we can get some of the best fish ever - however these ladies beat almost all grilled/blackened Mahi I have ever had! Wow do yourselves a favor and stop here!
The trip began how it ended, full of smiles! The resort is located in a town square area on the island where it is easy to get to the marina, the market, the yacht club or the perfect little breakfast spot across the road all by foot. The staff is more than welcoming starting with Ash near the front entrance to help with bags, offer advice and get the vibe of your group. When you make your way over to the private beach which is a peaceful boat ride away enjoying the crystal blue waters of the island you are greeted by vibrant personalities such as LaTroy and resort staff that will feel like family by the time you leave like Ro-Shawn.
Our 5th stay at the hotel. Missed seeing many of the employees I've come to know over the years! Disappointed my regular cab driver wasn't there #87 Metia whom was consider a friend as she was my first contact on the island.luckily we found her and she was happy to see her us! Always happy to see Ash he is family to the us and Kay is by far the best receptionist! The restaurant is much better
My experience at this hotel was very disappointing for several reasons.
First of all, the staff was not friendly. At no point did we feel welcomed.
Cleanliness was also a problem. The room was not in adequate condition, and on one occasion we left at 7:20 AM for an excursion and returned at 3:00 PM only to find that the room had still not been cleaned. I consider this a basic service that should be guaranteed.
Another important issue is the hotel’s beach. It is located on an island across from the hotel, which requires transportation by boat. On two occasions, the service was inefficient: the first time, despite having a scheduled time, our transfer was postponed by one hour, causing us to lose valuable beach time. The second time, we waited 25 minutes and the boat never arrived, without receiving any clear explanation.
Also, at the Beach Club we ordered food at the beach bar and waited over an hour to be served, which was excessive and disappointing.
In summary, the organization, cleanliness, and customer service did not meet our expectations.
Exuma is an incredible destination, and I will definitely return because the place itself is truly beautiful. However, I would absolutely not choose to stay at this hotel again.
Peace and Plenty is an awesome place. The staff is absolutely amazing—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food is hands down some of the best in Exuma. Every visit feels special, whether you’re stopping in for a meal or spending the day enjoying the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
First of all this was an amazing stay and staff are exceptional.
One thing that stands out at this hotel is the amazing staff, everyone we had interaction with were super friendly and make you feel part of the family.
Huge shout out to Captain Charles, Rowshaun (sorry if mispelled) and of course Ashva - the life and soul of the P&P!
We booked an ocean view and the views are incredible; the room was big, modern and well equipped. There were some furnishings missing (handle on the cupboard), but it is so minor that it did not affect our stay at all. Lovely shower with views of the ocean and ample hot water.
We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and in the evening and the food is great; service is also friendly and attentive. The bar was also great with Mo, who grafts to service both the bar and the diners.
One thing which wasn’t advertised is the resort fee of approx €50 per day for amenities, I think this covered the use of beach towels and the shuttle boat to the beach club on stocking island. We would have paid this in any-case, but came as a surprise to us. There is also an 18% charge on dining as opposed to the usual Bahamian rate, but again I would have been happy to pay this to the amazing staff.
The hotel arranged taxi’s when and as requested, including for our departure to the airport - little things matter!
The beach club is simply paradise, with boats leaving every hour from the hotel and returning every half an hour from the club. Staff on the boats and on the beach club really go out of their way for you and should be commended. Even on busy days staff managed to get additional loungers. The use of free water-sports was very good. There may be some competition from the newly opened hotel which is accessible from the beach club and often saw hotel guests dining there for lunch, it may be an idea to offer something different to rival that, such as a open grill/BBQ!
There were some minor communication issues which is the only thing preventing a 5*. On one day with the weather being slightly choppier, the boat had not filled with fuel and there were 12 of us waiting for over an hour until we were later told of the reasons why, it would have been nice to know from the start so we could have maybe spent an hour elsewhere. We also found the pool had been drained for renovation on the last day and again weren’t given any heads up.
I can’t end this review without giving a huge shout out the islands very own Barry White, Mr ASHVA. Ashva runs the karaoke night on a Tuesday and he is not only an incredible singer but he brings the vibes and got a whole heap of us talking and interacting. He is also the life and soul of the hotel, whether it’s a smiling good morning or a spontaneous song as you leave on the boat, a truly one of a kind character. It would be great for more evening entertainment from Ashva, with maybe an additional night of him just performing - it wont be long before he is snapped up and singing around the island!
We would be back in a heartbeat, despite a few communication issues, staff are more than amenable to rectifying any issue!
Absolutley loved our stay at P&P! The location is central to everything and the beach club is super chill, also love the boat ride over, feels very James bond!
Huge shout out to the staff!
Ash is the man! So friendly, knowledgeable and his Karaoke night was really a great time! He is truly the GOAT.
Also shout outs to Rashad and Mo the nicest bartenders!! Our server Lendesha
Who was fantastic!
The view from our room was epic! We definitely got the bang for our buck!
Highly recommend staying here!
Everything was amazing. Staff is fantastic and friendly. Especially Ash that hooked us up with ice for our cooler everytime we requested. Couldn’t recommend more.
Hotel amenities were good. Pool was never busy. Restaurant was convenient and good food. King room was newly renovated with great balcony and view of Stocking Island. Beach club was relaxing and fun and boat easy to get you there. Staff went above and beyond with arranging a private candlelight dinner on their beach for our 25th wedding anniversary! Thank you!
Excellent food and a variety of menu and cocktail options. Service was very friendly. I appreciate that there were several vegetarian options
Flight home was canceled, Peace & Plenty was so friendly and accommodating with our last minute needs. Highly recommend!
The staff could not have been more pleasant with everything that they did.
Brand new ocean view room was immaculate with perfect house cleaning every day.
Beautiful dining room with artfully present great food.
This was our first time here and the food was wonderful and ambience was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.
Had an incredible dining experience at Peace and Plenty! Zamaria took excellent care of us and her suggestion of the conch fritters was fabulous. The salmon cakes were also a personal fave! Not only was the food delicious but the staff was very attentive. Highly recommend!
Wonderful experience! Staff was amazing and very personable and helpful at all times. Went out of their way to help and set up trips, meals, etc. Will definitely be coming back. The Oceanview King Suite was very nice and has recently been remodeled. Highly recommend. Also very convenient location to both ends of island and across the street from awesome boat rental - Minn’s!
Nakeisha the general manager was excellent and really enjoyed the help from Kawanchia who arranged our private boat outing and Latroy who was always helpful!
Lex was our boat captain taking us on the shuttle across bay and always available and very helpful to find places to snorkel and visit.
We went in early October and it rained most of the time. There was a mosquito infestation which made staying outside impossible. There was very limited things to do because businesses were closed and the ones that were open. Oddly enough felt like they were doing you a favor When they waited on you, rang your groceries or took your drink order. Everything was extremely expensive. I would think that a place that relies on tourism would try harder to keep people happy but I can assure you I will never be back. This is not just the resort but the entire Area.
