excellent location for visiting the city
Pros:

excellent location, very friendly staff. easy reach from the u-parking. confy bed. nice view towards the Palace of Popes, from the window

Cons:

room is small, and -personal opinion- a bit too modern interior designed, in contrast with the old buildings in the surrounding . Breakfast is expensive, we did not take it.

Luxury in the heart of Avignon
Pros:

We arrived by car - the car park is right in the centre of Avignon and the hotel very near. So lovely here. Our room overlooked the city centre but it was fairly quiet. The air conditioning worked fine and kept us cool during a particularly vicious heatwave. Hi tech drinking water machines close to our rooms.
The funny and helpful Ioannes (spelling sorry!?) greeted us on reception - a living legend. Mercure!, give him a raise!
