Treatments were very good and relaxing
Decor in the room I stayed in could do with updating
Staff were lovely! I had dinner in the restaraunt; menu looked good! What I ordered was very nice! Room was "dated" but well equipped and clean. The bathroom was a really good size! Nice easy drive into Ipswich town centre.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I think that the car park towards the end (with the shipping container) could be better sign posted and with some kind of layout to reduce a sense of "unsureness". But it wasn't a major issue; just some customer experience feedback.
The Club Room was quite large and overlooked the gardens. The toilet/shower had been modernised and looked clean and new.
The cooked breakfast was very good.
We dound the bed quite hard and uncomfortable. Given the size of room a larger bed would have been more suitable. The room itself was a bit dark and needed some tlc. The hotel's wifi signal was very patchy
The meal in the restaurant was very disappointing. My wife had lamb rump amd I chose the crispy duck breast. Mine was supposed to come with asparagus but there was none and the duck was overcooked and very dry. Both meals had thick, rich gravy. I complained about the duck and was told the message would be passed onto the chef.
The decor throughout the hotel was rather bizarre. The welcome book stated that the decor in the hotel had been done sympathetically but to us a lot of the furniture and furnishings were not in keeping with the age and style of the building.
Breakfast good and Early so i had time before my Meeting in Ipswich
Nothing, All Good
I Loved the decor through out the whole hotel,
The bar and waiting staff are fantastic, very happy in their work, friendly and very welcoming, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slepted in,
Our room was very hot, but we were provided with fans so not a big issue
Lovely setting with peaceful gardens. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and a good range of dishes across the bar and the restaurant. Pool (indoor) /spa facilities were good and made for a relaxing space. Highly recommend and will stay here again.
LOVELY BREAKFAST
room was very comfy, bar was good, we had afternoon tea and that was very nice . Breakfast had plenty of options and the cooked selection was really nice quality
tea and coffee for breakfast - would have liked tea or coffee brought to table rather than machine made
The gym had a great selection of equipment and the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely.
You can’t drink the tap water in your room and there was no fridge, therefore you had to drink room temperature water. The water dispenser in the gym didn’t work, so you were reliant on the water cooler inside the swimming pool area. The bedrooms are in need of an upgrade.
The food was very good, the restaurant and breakfast.
The room's were vary warm at night, would be nice to have had air con, not just a fan.
Pool and leisure facilities were good. The gym is a little bit small but still had access to equipment as there weren't many people in there
The bathroom of my room was somewhat clean, although there was some dust and signs of wear and tear in the room and bathroom.
Spa area
All great
nothing, the decor was tired and the room was not of a 4 star actually premier inn hotels are far better
shower was mould all around mastic
shower holder rusty
toilet smelt of sewage
sink plug didnt work resulting in not being able to clean our teeth
window overlooked wall covered in ivy
room was small
the furnishing dark and old
A nice hotel in its own grounds with plenty of parking available. Room was big with a very comfortable kind sized bed. Shower room was modern and clean. Breakfast was self serve with lots of good quality options - fesh fruit, yogurts, branded cereals, toast, pastries, juices, coffees and tea. Also a good selection if cooked food. Sausages were very tasty. The pool looked lovely but i didnt manage to use it as it closes as 8.30pm.
Staff were really great
plug socket situation in rooms is terrible - Wifi is the worst of any hotel ive stayed in
