Perfect location for city break and lovely hotel
Pros:

Staff, location,breakfast and pool were excellent

Cons:

I found the room too stifling , didn’t realise windows were non openers 😩

Lots of space, in the room and a good TV

Cons:

The toilet flush mechanism behind the seat, and as we are in our mid 70s found it difficult to reach round for the loo paper, and a selection of different pillows

Excellent stay. Would recommend and will stay here again if we visit Chester again.
Pros:

The view was extraordinary, we got a room facing west towards Wales/Snowdonia though and there are rooms facing East into the town but I imagine not a horrible view. The rooms (king-size room) were clean, comfortable, nicely temperatured, TV size was amazing for what you normally get in hotels (I'd estimate around 55-60") with the option to stream your own apps (Netflix etc) direct to the TV. Location is great a few (<10) minutes walk to Watergate/the cathedral.

Cons:

Not a knock on the hotel or booking experience and maybe more a reflection on our due diligence but we only realised as we were leaving the health facilities (pool, gym etc) are complimentary use for all guests with the spa treatments costing etc. But maybe make future guests more aware at check in? Just an idea and don't really want to include this as a 'negative' more like friendly feedback.

Great central location, super comfy beds and staff were exceptional, would stay again
Pros:

Requested a twin room when booking. Actual room allocated was a double but this was rectified very quickly
Staff were extremely helpful

Cons:

Pastries at breakfast weren't great but otherwise good.
