Very enjoyable and well looked after stay made at short notice, would recommend
Pros:

Comprehensive selection for breakfast and readily available.
Able to park at the hotel for the 4 night stay, parked up and did not move vehicle until time to leave.
Hotel close enough to Bus and Train Stations and other facilities to encourage walking!
Did not use swimming pool but maybe next time!
Booked at short notice with pay on arrival option, which we like.

Cons:

No negatives for us during our stay.

Comfy, clean hotel in a great location
Pros:

Friendly, efficient staff. Hotel is in a great location just a couple of minutes walk from the city centre. The food in the restaurant is top notch.

Cons:

Rooms are starting to look a bit tired.

Not good value for money
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Entrance hall impressive.

Cons:

Needs updating. Feels very 1980s. Windows didn’t fit (but staff forced them closed). Noisy on the road. Not good value for money. Pool opening hours too short.

Pros:

Been to Chester few times, but first time staying here ( was wife's birthday) must say the hotel was excellent, big room, staff were very helpful and professional, breakfast's were excellent too, good selection

Cons:

Room a bit dark (lighting) but not a major problem

Great location standard room
Pros:

The location is superb, particularly if you’re attending the racing festival – it’s literally only a five-minute walk away, which made everything so easy. It’s also in a great spot for restaurants and places to eat, with plenty of choice nearby. You really couldn’t ask for a more convenient location. Robes and slippers were a nice touch and the restarant food was exceptional value and if good quality. The breakfast was also of good quality.

Cons:

The main reception and bar areas are lovely, with a really modern and welcoming feel. Unfortunately, once you move beyond reception, some of the communal areas, particularly the corridors and areas around the lifts, feel a little shabby and could definitely benefit from some attention.

The room itself was clean but, considering the cost of an overnight stay, I felt it was in need of some updating. The tea and coffee facilities were also very minimal, with just one teabag each and two sugars provided.

The bathroom was clean, but again felt a little dated. The tiled floor had areas of dirty and broken grouting, which let it down. Overall, nothing was terrible, but for the price I would have expected a better standard of finish and a little more attention to detail.

Pros:

Great central location. Good shower. Easy parking.

Cons:

Both the room and the bathroom doors were hard to open/close. The bed was two singles pushed together and one mattress sagged in the middle.
