Wouldn’t choose to stay here again unless improvements are made.
Pros:

Price was okay. Location was okay. Lobby looked fine. Fairly quiet.

Cons:

Carpets had holes and stains in hallway and room. Bed uncomfortable. Shower not as clean as it should have been.

Great value for money accommodation & location.

Cons:

Had a bit of negative experience with the breakfast. Upon arrival, I paid 36 pounds for the parking, as the sign said, for 3 nights. At the reception, I got to know that the discounted price was 24. The lady kindly apologised for the lack of proper display on the signage and offered a discounted breakfast for 3 days for my wife and myself in just 30 pounds. For the first and the second day of the stay out name wasn't in the breakfast list but we were told that the list was not updated. On the third day we were told that we had paid for only 2 days and not the third which wasn't the case. Had to repeat the above to the manager, Rakesh, who was kind enough to listen why all the confusion happened. Although happy with the overall gesture, what I did not like was the lack of communication between the staff. If I had paid for the breakfast it should have been reflected in the records appropriately and I shouldn't have had to explain the situation to the staff. Hope this will be worked on.

Excellent trip ideal for Edinburgh , train station 5 mins up the road and beach a ten minute walk!

Great city, great hotel. Great staff. A warm Edinburgh welcome.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff, room very clean. Room spaciious and bed comfortable. Swimming pool, spa bath facilities were great and good opening hours. Excellent bus services to city centre, fast and cheap. Stop outside hotel. Easy walk to portabello and beach. Tea and coffee in room and more if needed.

Cons:

I had a noisy neighbour (but did not mention to hotel). Room was stuffy so needed a fan on and window ooen all nighr as no air con. However tge area is quiet outside. Hotel provide a fan. Ediinburgh is not usually warm.

Our stay was pleasant
Pros:

Easy walk down to the beach and bus stops right out front for transportation to the city centre

Cons:

The nightly price was a little high as it is a 3 star hotel but I believe it was due to it being term break in the UK

Very clean, great location. Great leisure facilities with an extremely helpful staff member

Cons:

More choice required at breakfast eg square sausage or black pudding or choices topped up more . One woman was stood waiting on a fried egg for a good ten minutes (same barman from night before unable to make cocktails and now fried eggs)

It met our needs and we were able to catch a bus close by to travel into Edinburgh

Room was lovely - staff member Shannon was wonderful.

Cons:

Breakfast was not very good. Food was lukewarm and dried out. Also we had to ask for a knife as cutlery drawer was not refilled. Wasn’t happy about having to pay for parking on top of expensive accommodation
