Breakfast selection was great
Reception staff lovely
Lady at the outside bar area very rude stated she had no tables for me when there were about 8 tables free for the next 2 hours .
Very dirty chairs on the balcony , full of cobwebs .
Room was also dirty
The attentiveness and niceness of Julia and the Reception Desk supervisor. They made sure to better my stay and treat me as a valued guest.
I had booked a room without using the Cambridge alumnus discount. A few days later, I got an email from the Hotel saying that I had a room upgrade offer. I replied to the email, messaged via the Booking app, and even made an international call to the reception, but despite waiting for more than 5 minutes, no one answered. The message I sent never got a reply.
Upon arriving, I shared these elements of frustration with the big British fellow, who quickly brushed them aside and offered no sort of compensation. It's a shame that a Hotel named The Graduate, which is clearly Cambridge themed, has an employee who treats alumni with thinly veiled contempt.
When I decided I wanted to book another room, he behaved as if they were doing me a favour. Thankfully, his supervisor was the one who ended up taking care of the booking process for me, and gave me a great discount on the room's rate!
Location was great, rooms were lovely and staff were friendly. I used the gym and pool facilities and they were really lovely
Not a huge selection of equipment at the gym- mostly just elliptical. Not a fault of the hotel at all but getting in through the very busy narrow street was a bit stressful!

£1 was taken from my account on my Visa card as I paid for the room on line the £1 never appeared on my bank statement I still have the receipt, after paying my account on departure I found a separate amount of £73.75 taken from my account, I contacted the hotel the following day sent photos of the amount it has now been reimbursed
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our favourite thing was the uniuque location - it has beautiful views over the river Cam to watch the punts go by and in the summer there is a little outdoor bar and deckchairs to enjoy. We were so relaxed here we never actually went to find the pool. It also had a very good indoor bar area. Perfect location for wandering around the city. Rooms were very comfortable and had big products in the showers. There is also a big car park which I hadn't expected for this central location, but was very useful.
Breakfast was not included and we were charged extra at check-in, which I hadn't expected for a hotel at this price mark. Breakfast buffet was pretty fine but nothing special.

Smell in corridors also very dark and gloomy. Trying too hard to be eclectic when could just do more modern and better quality. Some of the rooms have unpleasant views - flat room and air vent noisy.

Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, great food and drinks, excellent location. Most comfortable bed i think I have ever slept in, meant to ask the make of the mattress and forgot!!
