Basic hotel for one night stayover, but not more
Pros:

Location is quite good, close to main streets. Also hotel does provide a free parking which is important in this area.

Cons:

Room size was super small, facilities are old, a/c is noisy. Breakfast was very basic.

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est parfait. À proximité du centre et du port.
La chambre est assez spacieuse et propre.
L’hôtel dispose du terrasse dans la rue, qui est assez agréable.

Cons:

La salle du petit déjeuner se trouve en sous-sol (ce n’est pas dramatique mais moins agréable que de petit déjeuner à côté de fenêtres). Le buffet du petit déjeuner était souvent vide, ce qui limitait le choix.

Le dimensioni della stanza, la posizione, la colazione, l'orario del check out, l'accoglienza all'ingresso, la presenza di più ascensori, letti comodi.

Cons:

La camera era ancora in fase di finitura poiché la ristrutturazione era in corso. A tal proposito abbiamo riscontrato diversi problemi segnalati in reception al momento del checkout ovvero si staccava il doccino dalla doccia una volta aperto in pressione massima, il poggia valigie non era fissato a muro e si inclinava rischiando di cadere nei piedi, era presente un forte odore di vernice che ci ha portato a tenere aperta la finestra diverso tempo prima di poter dormire. Si percepiva anche non fosse ultimata la restaurazione per la mancanza di para spigoli e profili della porta, ma questo non era un problema funzionale ma solo estetico.

A 4 star hotel that is actually a bad 90s' motel

I grew up with the idea that "Location, Location, Location" was the only thing (let's say "the one thing") that mattered. This hotel (Cristal in Palermo) has a good location. Period.

It needs lots of TLC, investments and ownership that is willing to take a 1978 hotel and bring it it into the twenty first century.

The rooms have that 90s' motel feeling that is ruined by the 90s' furnishings and 1978 bathroom (mold and all original from the 70s')
