Absolutely majestic!
Pros:

Located in the pretty quaint seaside town of Tramore. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Ireland mainly due to beach frontage. Our stay here was part of a group tour. The hotel fronts a lake/park with swans, ducks, etc., with sweeping view of the sea. Lots of parking. Lovely to walk along the beach or boardwalk; beautiful sunrise/sunsets. There's an Aldi grocery steps away.

My room with partial view, was clean and comfortable; although I find it a bit dark (perhaps need more lamps with high wattage bulbs). The half cylindrical shower had trinkling/low water pressure. Dinner was fabulous at their beautiful garden restaurant. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and the menu presented to us had decent selection. Nicely decorated formal table setting & atmosphere makes for a special dining experience. Group breakfast buffet selection was equally outstanding (though lacking fresh fruits).

The hotel is well maintained and would make a great venue for weddings and conference. Highly recommend.

Good but not €1000 worth
Pros:

I'd like to start out this review by saying I've been visiting tramore for the past 25 years, you could almost say its in my blood as I'm only 27 years old.

My family and I stayed in the majestic for the first time since the relief of COVID, I understand it is a family run business because I've had the pleasure of talking to your wonderful manager so I write this to you

The hotel is lovely and most of your staff are amazing (I will explain the rest later) the room I got was nothing short of perfect especially as I paid €1000 for the pleasure, but as a professional chef that has been working in 5* hotels for the past 12 years I started seeing big problems

My auntie stayed in the hotel 3 weeks before my family and me, they came home boasting about how good the breakfast was, my auntie and me are massive fans of a good omelette and once she gave me the review of how good the breakfast menu was I was extremely disappointed when I came down for my breakfast (remember I paid €1000) only to not receive a menu I then saw a copy of it behind the breakfast check In podium so I lifted a copy, I was questioned by the waitress as to how I got this but once I asked why it's not handed out on arrival to the breakfast room she told me (hands down the most ridiculous answer I've ever heard in 12 years working in kitchens) witch was they don't hand out menus incase the kitchen gets busy ....... SERIOUSLY

The bar was the cosy casual place I remember but for a tourist destination it's probably one of the most boring bars I've ever been to. It's the middle of summer!! No live music, no sport on TV we spent most of our time in the victoria around the corner instead. I will also mention that the pints where disgusting we drank mostly bottles for the first night until we where told by staff that the glass washer was broke and that's why the pints where not nice

On my last night before leaving we finished in the bar late (when I say late I mean 11pm ) my key didn't work so I returned to the bar to ask the night porter to fix the issue the gentleman in question was of Asian decent (not that has anything to with what I'm about to say) but he then decided to curse and swear about me asking him to do this (again I paid €1000) once he did he then asked me if he gave me €40 could I send him €40 on revlout like I was a bloody online cash transfer I felt so uncomfortable I ran back to my room and locked the door.

I am sorry management of the majestic I truly do love your hotel it really does have a special place in my heart but unfortunately this time I don't have much to say, I truly hope you don't take my comments personally I have such a love for tramore and your hotel and I will be back in the future I just hope my review was taken on board

Thank you to the amazing staff at the majestic (you know who you are)

Recommend for a Wedding Venue
Pros:

We cannot thank Laura enough for making our wedding so special. We had guests over to stay at the hotel leading up to the wedding and then had the reception there and I couldn’t fault them at all. The food at the wedding was exceptional and the amount of compliments we received from guests saying it was the best beef they’ve had. The service was amazing and nothing was a problem or too much for Laura and her team. Thank you so much for making our day so special x

Amazing food, stunning rooms, top class management
Pros:

We recently had an event at The Majestic Hotel. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I honestly would.

In the build up to the event the help, support and care to detail that was put in was next to none. Any requests I made were always received with an "absolutely no problem, we will make it work" attitude and put me completely at ease.

All our guests that were attending and also staying in the hotel were blown away by the staff and how polite and friendly the welcome at front of desk was and every request was met.

The food, I don't know where to start. The meal was fantastic and the chef absolutely knocked it out of the park. Weeks later I am still hearing about how great the food was and everyone was well fed. It arrived to the tables hot, fresh and in a timely manor. Waiting staff were also fantastic and helped for any requests I made which is brilliant with small kids.

I have to mention Laura. She honestly went above and beyond with every detail on the day. Every time I went back into the bridal suite there was topped up drinks and nibbles. The attention to detail was superb. She helped us plan and execute the perfect day. What I found fantastic was that she was always close by if I needed her for anything and made sure the day ran to schedule. The work, time and effort Laura has put into the hotel is unbelievable and she has truly lifted the standards to next level.

The rooms are renovated beautifully and so clean and fresh. Although the view is amazing, i hardly looked out because the room was stunning and had entertainment systems to enjoy in our preparations.

Early check in was facilitated for so many guests which is amazing. This can't have been easy and thank you so much to reception and house keeping staff for their hard work to make everyone's days glide easily.

Laura and all at the Majestic Hotel, thank you so very much for making my wedding day perfect. I look forward to coming back again.

Amy.

Brilliant Service, excellent location
Pros:

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding, being hosted at the hotel.

From start to finish I can not fault the service at all. Was excellent throughout.

The location is great, with brilliant views of the seafront, and free parking right across the road.

The rooms are a little hot due to no air con, but if you request a fan they can be provided, which made quite a lot of difference.

The wedding was perfect and everything ran very smoothly.

Family gathering
Pros:

2 night stay for a family gathering (11 in total) early August 2025. Staff were lovely. Food was absolutely fantastic and we ate in all 3 designated areas: restaurant/bar/breakfast room. The rooms were spacious (balcony/sea view). There was an issue with the water mains in the Waterford area but definitely not the fault of the hotel and they coped admirably in such a dire situation. We had a brilliant time and would definitely return. Thanks for looking after us so well, regards Joan.

That’s Amore and more
Pros:

We never stayed at the hotel, but we attended an Italian themed evening ‘That’s Amore’ and was pleasantly surprised by the evening. The choice of Italian inspired buffet style foods were simply divine; from pasta, pizza, salads, lasagne, bolognese, soup, sea food, cannelloni, tiramisu and so much more. Unlimited Aperol Spritz was another great treat and all this for only €50 between 18:00 and 20:30. The staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming and generous with all they served and couldn’t do enough for their guests. They say they are going to be holding more themed evenings like this and we can’t wait to attend them in the future. Thank you to all the staff at The Majestic for a fantastic evening.

Basic for a 4 star
Pros:

Went for drinks..of course they brought the kids drinks and never brought ours, the person who we ordered off literally only brought half our order so we had to go up to the bar and ask where our drinks were, they never forget to charge for them all though when paying.how hard can it be when you order 4 drinks to bring the 4, waitresses very serious looking, nice looking hotel outside but for a four star id expect much better service,

Real hospitality
Pros:

Stayed for one night in July while touring the south east. The Majestic is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Real hospitality is hard to train, it comes naturally, and everyone we met from Sam in the bar to the housekeepers were warm friendly and engaging. Special mention to Geraldine at Front Office who created the first impression that set the tone for the duration of our short stay.

Thank you

Drinks
Pros:

We popped in for a pint, nice bar and cozy surroundings, however at €6.60 a pint of lager it's overpriced. Beautiful views of the sea and a lovely outside seating area, nice welcoming staff too . I would visit again but certainly wouldn't be my first choice due to the price of the beer.

Dirty hotel with zero management
Pros:

The hotel appeared nice on arrival, Receptionist lovely and the rooms up to date, clean and modern. We stayed 21/05/25. We stayed for dinner in the bar and the portion size of feather blade beef was minute to say the least and presented in a small sized bowl. My friends were still hungry to say the very least after eating. I had ordered Tapas Wings and a Bread and dip option which arrived after everyone else had finished their meal. The hummus and tomato tapenade was completely tasteless.
After walking around Tramore we came back to the bar at 10pm in the evening, we listened to the band and proceeded to the bar only to find both barmen had disappeared for over 20 mins. Nobody could serve us a drink!!
Breakfast was nice but I was then horrified at the small dirty jam bowls. I found that quite disgusting. The serving spoons in the hot food counter area were just left without anyone cleaning up the mess. Beans and grunge all over the counters and plates. When I leaned over to get food from the silver hot trays, my clothes were almost covered in food stains. There is no attention to detail in this hotel. Management need to clean up their act. Furthermore the entrance to the hotel where there is outdoor seating is full of rubbish on the ground. A heatwave in Ireland and nobody has even thought to put out the seat cushions on the outdoor furniture. If I had brought a foreign person to this hotel, I would be horrified at the slovenliness of the
details of this hotel.
As an Account Manager who has travelled extensively to international hotels, I am embarrassed to be Irish as the standard is so low. In my opinion, it does not deserve a 4* rating.

Always a great stay, never disappoints.
Pros:

I visit this hotel often with the hubby and our son and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly, helpful and very accommodating to families (patience with children ☺️).
It's always super clean, quiet and comfortable.
The food is fab also, whether in the restaurant or the bar the service is always great.
Location is perfect, close to amusements and beach and even Bus outside for convenience.
That kind if hotel where you feel you can relax and switch off.
Can't wait to return this year.
