Far Beyond Just Dated
Pros:

The only positives for us were the location and the views, and the staff were nice and pleasant.

Cons:

We only needed a basic hotel for one night for a concert, so we weren't expecting anything fancy. We knew it was dated and were completely fine with that — unfortunately, the condition was far beyond what we expected.

Very strong unpleasant smell; we had to buy room spray just to tolerate the room.
Stains on the carpet and furniture.
The bed and overall cleanliness made us uncomfortable enough that we wouldn't sleep under the blankets.
Broken pullout couch that we were told not to close, so it had to remain pulled out.
Elevator malfunctioned repeatedly, with the doors opening several times instead of continuing. I eventually got out and took the stairs because I didn't feel comfortable continuing in it.
Approximately $310 for one night felt extremely poor value.

We can overlook a dated hotel, but this was beyond simply being dated. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Great value.
Pros:

Great location. Huge room. View of the water and one of Robson Street. Room was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Pros:

The staff was curtious, helpful and friendly. The rooms were quaint, didn't really expect a suite.

The rooms could have been a little cleaner, sleeping pillows had sweat stains on them.

Friendly staff and excellent location
Pros:

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal to explore downtown and the Robson Street area, which is very lively. The suites are big and allow for self-catering.

Cons:

Downtown Vancouver can be very noisy, but there is nothing the hotel staff can do about it. The furniture and the building are a bit tired and could do with refurbishment.

Staff was nice but everything else was not, will not be coming back again.

The staff at the front desk was very nice.

Cons:

Very run down, as soon as we walked into the room there were stains on the floor, white stuff on the couch, stain on the lampshade(looks like blood), brown splatter in the kitchen on the wall, shower was dirty, bedding had a stain.
