Bed quality good. Side sea view room good but on a noisy corner with no double glazing so it was noisy.
Pros:

Location.
Sun bed allocation excellent idea.
Staff were courteous & accommodating.
Themed restaurants were good.
Chocolate on the pillow, a nice touch.

Cons:

A little dated. Artificial flowers are awful. Breakfast wasn’t to the standards I expected. Orange juice should be proper juice & not bad tasting cordial mix. Although there was fresh fruit available, please don’t have tinned fruit.
We had to call housekeeping often at the beginning because the curtains were stained, fridge. A/c & remote weren’t working. All were attended to quickly & courteously but surely all these should be checked before occupancy.

Fabulous!!
Pros:

Wonderful Hotel in a great location.

Firstly we arrived at about 11pm.
We were greeted with a smile and offered a free wrap/sandwich and beverage while our room was arranged and the porter took the cases to the room.

The staff are all so happy, friendly, and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I even had a go at my hubby because the staff knocked on our door at about 7pm to see if we wanted any more towels… he was
Moaning, about the time and why would they do that… but I told him to buck up and don’t complain, and it was a good thing they wanted to tidy and keep the room clean.

Our sunbeds were okay, but we couldn’t move the sun shade so we burnt on the second day, so we asked if we could move 4 days in and they were more than accommodating.

We have only come B&B but the breakfast has everything you could want.
Cereals,
Bread/toast
Full cooked breakfast,
Choice of omelets freshly cooked
Fresh, tinned and dried fruits
Meats, cheese, and salad
Porridge made with Milk, water or vegan.
French Toast, scotch Pancakes,
And waffles
Honey, Jams, Marmalade, Chocolate Praline,
white chocolate Praline.
nuts and Seeds.

Fantastic!!!’

The bedrooms are lovely, clean and spacious. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided.

The only downside is the shower pressure, but we are used to a power shower at home

Will definitely return!!

Fantastic Hotel
Pros:

This was our fourth visit to Alexander The Great. It never fails to please us and we always return. Position wise, it is just a short walk along the coastal path to Paphos Harbour. We usually choose a sea view room which provides amazing views. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The food is definitely to be recommended, and this time we booked the Garibaldi Restaurant which was delicious and also enjoyed the Cypriot night. A very important note is that you choose your sunbeds and they are yours for your entire stay! That is just a fantastic idea! Also check out the ruins in the gardens. Staff are amazing- nothing is too much trouble! They even provided a surprise of a card, balloons and a chocolate cake on my birthday!

Amazing hotel
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for a week in mid-June and had a wonderful time overall.

Our original room unfortunately had poor curtains that let in a lot of light, which affected our sleep, especially with children. We asked to move rooms, and the only option available was a sea view room, which had much better curtains. Although we did have to pay for the upgrade, it made a huge difference and we all slept much better. The hotel would definitely benefit from investing in better blackout curtains in the standard rooms.

Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. All of the staff were amazing and made our stay really enjoyable. I especially liked the sunbed allocation system, although I can imagine I may have felt differently if we hadn’t managed to get poolside beds.

The food was excellent, particularly at the Seven Orchids and Garibaldi restaurants.

My children absolutely loved the kids’ club. Konstantina was incredible with them, she kept them entertained, cared for them so well, and really made their holiday special. They were genuinely sad not to see her again when our trip came to an end.

The pool bar also served some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had!

We would happily return again in the future.

High standard Paphos Hotel
Pros:

This hotel is of a high quality. Excellent location, very friendly/ hardworking staff, high standard of food/ restaurants and the facility of being allocated a sunbed for the duration of your stay, we're notable standouts. The room we had was a large room with Juliet Balcony. Great views towards the mountains . All in all we would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return one day

Fabulous hotel, but smoking is a problem.
Pros:

Fabulous hotel, loved all the pools. Food was great, in all the restaurants. The bedroom was spacious & comfortable. The bathroom was a bit annoying with the shower leaking all the time onto the floor. The only thing I didn't like, was people smoking everywhere except inside the hotel itself. I was swimming crawl in the indoor pool, when you take in air, my lungs were filled with smoke so ended up having to stop swimming, as I was coughing & choking couldn't breathe with inhaling the smoke. A designated smoking area was outside one set of the main pool doors & then at the bar end were the other doors, so smoke was coming in there as well. People were sat at the bar smoking & smoke was constantly blowing in the staffs faces. Come on, safe guard your staff & customers & get this problem sorted out, a lot of people I spoke to in the hotel weren't happy about the smoking. Loved the resident black cat.

Great, friendly hassle free holiday.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is well positioned with a fantastic see view. The marina is easily accessible approx 10 minute walk from hotel. There is a real friendly and relaxed atmosphere in and around the hotel. Our room was clean and well maintained and very spacious with a fantastic see view from our balcony. We have stayed at this hotel many times and never been disappointed with value for money, the food on offer is fresh and there are many choices on offer. The noise level was was average for such a large hotel and we had no issues with noise levels both day and night. Service in this hotel is tremendous and all of the staff are very helpful and very friendly. Pool service is excellent and the attendant got us sun beds in a great place as usual and the fact that your beds are allocated to your room once you choose them is fantastic as there is never a hassle getting beds for the day. Also if you do want to change where your bed is situated, just talk to the pool attendant and he will look to get you a move without any issue.

Fabulous week in a fabulous hotel
Pros:

Brilliant week stay at the Alexander the Great hotel, staff were amazing and work so hard, bar staff, pool staff, porters, waiters are such an asset.
Gorgeous pool with swim up bar, plenty of sun loungers that you book for the week which means no rush in the mornings to get a lounger and no bed hogging.
I will definitely be back, thank you for a great week.

A First Class Holiday
Pros:

From start to finish this has been a truly wonderful holiday. The hotel is really lovely and the staff, at all levels, absolutely fabulous! Nothing is a problem and any queries are swiftly answered.

The room was well maintained - thank you to Titania - and well serviced.

Food wise - wow! Fine dining at 7 Lotus (oriental), Garibald (Italian) and not forgetting Limikadi, the Cypriot Taverna beautifully complimented the ‘regular’ dining options.

Now for the really difficult part - mentioning some members of staff! Very, very difficult, and perhaps a bit unfair as all have been great. However, Jordan, Daniel and Ana from Garibaldi excellent and Ragu from 7Spices
exceptional - but so was everyone else across the hotel!

So, a first class venue for a first class holiday - our 16 nights have whizzed by leaving us with many new friends and even more very happy memories!

Thank you very much - see you next year!😁

A wedding that was more than I ever imagined
Pros:

Let me tick boxes then I can share my excitement. Location, great for walk along to the harbour, restaurants, bars and shops. Atmosphere was serene, calming, soothing, paradise. Rooms very clean, comfortable. Value I felt was good for the experience I had. Noise level not a problem. Service outstanding second to none and I hope it makes them proud to read this. Amenities all good, gym good, pools all wonderful, steam room and sauna good, changing room good. Honourable mentions: Nadya, great sense of humour, always made sure our room was perfect and that we had fresh towels, lovely and polite. Raju always friendly and approachable. Jordan, passionate and great humour. Xenia, very helpful and kind. The reception desk for assistance with guests taxis, always professional.

As a holiday destination alone. I loved it. The room, the view, the balcony, perfection (they upgraded us very much appreciated). Food options/restaurants amazing, I had some of the best meals of my life there but you have to book in advance, if you don’t you could miss a restaurant and miss out. I’m rushing because I want to get to the best bit.

Ok so I had my wedding here on 18/6/2026. Meetings/Planning with Chrystalla went very well, she listened, she captured all the details, helped with troubleshooting table plans/lay out, receptions drinks orders, she was attentive to questions. Literally, not done anything like this before of course, so having Chrystalla to hand was incredibly helpful. Shout out to our TUI wedding organiser Tracey, who went above and beyond, she really cared for making sure we had the best wedding, she made some great recommendations for the reception that we are glad we got, as well as ordering last minute confetti (@TUI she deserves a pay rise/promotion). The wedding was more than I could have imagined. Stunning hotel, unity terrace is a stunning location with view, the weather was unreal which complimented the exotic environment. The family and friends all had a wonderful time. The staff took care of us. The chef met with us at dinner service, reassured my wife with her nut allergies (especially made all deserts nut free). After I selected my food it was carried to the table for me, that was not expected but was nice. The beef medallions were incredible. The photographer was external but he was exceptional at his job. The DJ introduced himself at the beginning, briefed us. He was great, took requests, he was a part of the success of the vibe and much appreciated. The drinks, cocktails were all very good and reasonably priced. Mine was a tequila sunrise and it was clean.

Would I go back for a holiday/anniversary, in a heart beat. It was sad to leave. I highly recommend for holiday or wedding or both.

Will definitely return
Pros:

The staff at the Alexander are really what makes the experience so lovely. We spent two weeks at the start of June here and loved every minute.

The food is really lovely in the Cafe Royal, loved eating outside and watching the sunset. Although the food was also good in the Roxanne, don’t really enjoy eating inside. The Garibaldi and Seven Orchids are fabulous, book early, use the Kanika App and book 7 days before you go. The team in both restaurants are amazing.

Although the rooms are spacious and clean with lots of storage they could do with a little makeover.

We had a little issue with the shower going hot and cold so be careful with any little ones.

Overall, a really lovely hotel, very close to the harbour for a nice stroll too.

A five star plus experience.
Pros:

First time in Paphos and not the last. Alexander the Great beach hotel is perfectly located and has everything you need for an incredible holiday. Atmosphere and the extremely friendly staff make this place unforgettable. Rooms are a decent size, very clean and they have a lovely little balcony. Easy bus service to the old town. Prices are very reasonable and the quality and quantity/choice of food is fantastic. Three different themed restaurants to savour. Three pools, sauna, steam room and health spa are brilliant. Short walk to harbour and local shops. Big thanks to all staff and especially Jordan and Joanna at the pool bar 🍸 See you next year for our anniversary. Ian & Moira 😀

Pros:

Cons:

המיזוג באזורים המשותפים, חדר האוכל והקבלה לא מספיק חזק.

Very nice hotel. Super Friendly
Pros:

Just got back from a week at this lovely hotel. Almost perfect. Not so happy with our room. will come to that later. All the people who work at the hotel are friendly, well mannered ,and efficient. All the guests there mainly English, all so friendly to one another.A lovely atmosphere. The pool areas very good, and spacious. Also an adult pool. There are plenty of sunbeds around pool ,and a grassed area which is quieter. They have a reservation system, which works very well.
The food at the hotel is excellent. A few different
Restaurants ,Italien,Greek, and Asien. We loved the Italien. The food was amazing.
Now onto our room. We had reserved a Deluxe double room ,with side sea view. When we arrived the Gentelman at reception, told us the rooms were not really sea view.then offered us another room (073). told us it was ground floor,we could see the sea,and it was quiet.First of all the room was small and dark. The furniture old,and worn.Old wardrobes, small for 2 people. The window was extremely hard to open. The bathroom
was good ,with a good size shower.Outside only a small area to sit, next to service entrance, with a door that made a terrible noise. So not a quiet room, and certainly not deluxe!!! The only advantage to us was no lift or stairs.WE were only there for a week so decided to stay. If it would have been 2 then we would not have accepted this room.
One last thing. The restaurant manager, what a lovely friendly person, who always tried to greet every guest. a real asset to the hotel Hello Jordan,From Switzerland!!!
I would certainly stay at this hotel again. Hopefully with a better room.

Absolutely fabulous
Pros:

Everything about this hotel is perfect. From the minute we checked in until the minute we checked out, every member of staff were professional polite and welcoming. Food is outstanding, 3 different restaurants with the best food we have ever tasted in a hotel. Rooms lovely and comfortable. Allocated sunbeds are a brilliant idea. Sorry to the young Stefanos, we changed places a few times and he really didn’t mind (if he did, he didn’t show it) The whole vibe of the hotel is one of luxury and relaxation. I don’t want to mention staff names as everyone was excellent but special mention to Raju in the restaurant and Ellie and her colleague (sorry I forgot her name) who kept our room 342 spotless. I really can’t think of 1 thing that could be better at this hotel. Thank you, we will be back.

Absoluteley Brilliant Hotel
Pros:

We returned again after 28 years and found this excellent hotel even better than our visits all them years ago. The allocated sun bed idea is still going strong and the best idea we have seen all over the world. The food is exceptional and the Asian and Italian restaraunts could not be beaten. The staff and the ambience in the hotel also could not be beaten. The hotel was spotless and also very quiet and nothing was too much for the very smart staff especially the waitresses and supervisors at Breakfast.
