The location was perfect, the staff were lovely and very helpful, and the food was very good. We also really enjoyed the pool area. One thing we particularly appreciated was that the sunbeds were assigned.

We had a great holiday! The hotel's right in the middle of everything, on the beach. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help. I really want to thank Alla from the restaurant and Stephanos from the pool kiosk – they were both so helpful and nice to us. The hotel even has an adult-only area at the pool, which was really quiet and peaceful.
It was our wedding anniversary (I actually mentioned it to a lovely lady at guest services), and they left us some sparkling wine in our room and even decorated a table for us at their 7 Orchids restaurant!

Beautiful location, ideal if you want to stroll down to the harbour. Hotel itself was spotless and welcoming. Restaurant had such a good variety of food options. Excellent staff, very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next year.
The only minor flaw was the hairdryer in the room. It was very dated, attached to the wall and took forever to dry my hair. I just think these need to be updated but it didn’t spoil our relaxing holiday.

A great hotel in Cyprus . Lovely room . Very clean . Food excellent and very friendly staff . Restaurant food was superb . Recommend to anyone .

A great location near the beach and a short walk to the harbour. The hotel atmosphere was extremely friendly, quiet and relaxing. While the rooms were a little dated they were kept spotlessly clean and tended to three times each day. The restaurants and bars offer great value for both food and drink. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it is difficult to find any fault with the service we received on holiday. A special thanks to Joanna at the Infinity bar, Maria at the Alexander bar and Anna Maria in the restaurants who made our stay extra special.

We recently returned from a fantastic stay at Alexander The Great Beach Hotel in Paphos, and it truly exceeded our expectations as a family!

Our check-in was seamless, even though we arrived late at night. We were welcomed with food and drinks and they even provided a gluten-free option for my mother-in-law, who is coeliac. As a brilliant touch, they gave us a lunch voucher to replace the meal we missed on our late arrival night. We used it on our final day, I’ve never known a hotel to do this before, as you usually just lose the meal, so it was a lovely gesture!

Hands down, this is the best buffet food I have ever had at a hotel. It genuinely felt like high end restaurant quality, some dishes felt very posh, absolutely delicious and there was so much variety! My kids aren't fussy eaters and loved trying everything. If you do have fussy eaters, there is a dedicated kids section (nuggets and chips every night) but I’d strongly encourage kids to try the main buffet because it's amazing!
For my mother-in-law, the dining staff were exceptional, every single night, the chef came out personally to guide her through what was safe to eat (which was a lot!).
Nothing was ever too much trouble and she could even pre-order gluten-free meals. Even without pre-ordering, there were endless options on the main buffet for her.
One minor suggestion, the dessert section had fewer gluten-free options on the buffet, so this is one small area they could expand on in the future.
I don't really drink alcohol so I cannot comment on that but my mother-in-law had a cocktail and champagne for her birthday, which she said were lovely! They also brought her balloons, a bottle of fizz and a card to her room on her birthday which was so appreciated!

The team here is wonderful, but a very special mention must go to Xenia. She fits her name so perfectly! Her hospitality was simply amazing! Our two boys absolutely adored her. Seeing her dance on Cypriot night with so much passion was a real highlight, it is so refreshing to see someone genuinely enjoying their job and being so incredibly good at it!

The hotel’s sunbed system is brilliant and eliminates people doing the 6am towel dash. We were allocated beds on the grass, a bit further from the main pool but with a beautiful sea view. On our last day we were given poolside sunbeds but we all said we actually preferred it on the grass as it wasn't as busy and felt more relaxing! We felt safe enough to leave our belongings at the sunbeds while supervising our kids at the pool.
The outdoor and indoor pool temperatures were lovely and warm. The main pool is quite deep (my 6 and 9 year olds couldn't touch the bottom) and the splash pool is just a shallow paddling pool. They don't allow large inflatables, but net lilos, rings, and armbands are fine.
The beach is beautiful and the sea was cool, we paid 10 euro for 2 sunbeds and a parasol for all day, I think this price is capped by the government.

My 6 year old son asked to try the free Kids Club one afternoon and ended up loving it so much he kept asking to go back! The staff in there were so kind.

My husband used the sauna and said it was really good and my mother in law had an amazing massage!

The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, spacious and has plenty of storage in the room. We had a land view room without a balcony, next time, I’d probably pay extra for a sea view just to have a balcony to relax on after the kids are asleep. The staff are so trustworthy that I often forgot to use the free safe and felt completely secure.
Only downside to the room (other than no balcony) was that the mini fridge didn't work (we even pulled it out to turn the dial up but it wouldn't keep anything cold) neither did the one in my mother in laws room. There is a convenience shop directly across the road selling all the mini fridge and drawer snacks at a fraction of the price, so stock up there instead!

It's an easy, pleasant walk to Paphos Harbour, at the Harbour, we joined in on traditional Cypriot dancing on several evenings, tried the sea-jumping platforms, and took the Yellow Submarine boat trip (the underwater glass bottom lets you see shipwrecks, fish, and sea turtles!).
We booked a day trip via GetYourGuide with Constructour to the Baths of Aphrodite, Blue Lagoon, banana fields, and the shipwreck, highly recommended! We also got the bus which stops outside the hotel and only costs 2 euros to Aphrodite waterpark, tombs of the kings archelogical site and the shopping mall where we went to jumbo and got loads of cheap holiday things! Would also recommend the archelogical site at the harbour to look at the mosaics but there isn't any shade there so it is a good idea to do this early morning.

At the hotel, there is plenty to do during the day, I participated in pool basketball and won Man of the Match lol. There is evening entertainment starting at 9pm, though as an active, early rising family, we would have loved if the evening shows started a bit earlier so we could catch them before bedtime.

Overall, a magnificent stay, we would recommend this hotel to any family in a heartbeat and we will definitely be back!

Amaising swimming pool! Clean, very warm team, excellent location. We received 2 communicating rooms as we required because children. Highly recommend this hotel.
