Great hotel with good amenities and friendly staff.
The breakfast was great
When asked for glasses to be brought to the room, empty champagne flutes I was informed that there would be £5 tray change!! Very unnecessary, I had all my bags etc so it would have been nice to not have to pay £5 for someone to just bring empty glasses to our room.
Plus £10 parking when staying over is quite unfair too.
Nothing fancy
Reception staff are absolutely clueless. Waited 30 mins to get checked in and when I asked my friend to tap my card to pay for the car park the English lady at the counter removed the tablet insinuating I was going to take the tablet. She was rude had a mean angry face towards me. Awful experience!
have stayed here 10+ times now, and this time felt compelled to write a review due to amazing friendly service by travis on the bar. He’s by far the best member of staff and a credit to the hotel.
the rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and, thankfully given the current weather, have great air con.
gym is good and pool etc are lovely.
a brilliant quiet classy location just a few minutes walk from vibrant solihull town centre.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Lovely bar/dining area and good access to leisure facilities. This hotel is also perfectly positioned for access to the town centre.
At check out, I requested an invoice and was repeatedly told by the receptionist that this would not be possible and that this was 'why she hated 3rd party bookings'. I was informed that if the hotel printed me an invoice, this would only show the transactions between the hotel and booking.com, and would not be reflective of the customer price. While there I tried to access an invoice via the booking.com app, which instructs you to speak directly to the hotel, this was met with some more dismissive comments and eventually I gave up. On checking further reviews after leaving the hotel, I see that this is not an unusual occurrence and I will be escalating this via the IHG group as the hotel are legally obligated to provide this on request. I would suggest that if the hotel have such an issue with 3rd party booking agents, they perhaps shouldn't use them! I travel for business regularly and commonly use booking.com, I have never encountered this issue at any other hotels.
Værelser og mad virkelig godt
Lidt irriterende at vi ikke kunne afregne mad og drikkevarer til værelset, så vi kunne få en faktura ved afrejse
Good location, nice swimming pool, clean tidy and very close to the town centre
surprised hotel guests have to pay £10 per night for the car park but is very close to the town centre and cheaper than parking in the centre.. note than the £10 is perfect 24 hour duration so watch you arrival and departure times as if over a few minutes it could be an expensive fine.
Note to self to look at parking charges before booking in future!
The food was nice and the table staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was good and a good choice was on offer.
The staff were very rude at reception. Had to ask for them to check the booking as they twice said I had booked breakfast only, while I had paid for dinner, bed, and breakfast.
Once checked, they said yes, you have. No apology. I just got handed my room keys.
Most hotels that I have stayed in include parking in the price. It was a surprise that I had to pay an additional £10. I had no alternative but to pay as I had travelled down from Scotland.
