Prime location.
Lovely hotel.
Our room was perfect. The temperature was just right.
I tried the leisure facilities. Dated and well used, but functional. The changing rooms could do with a thorough deep clean.
Breakfast - self-service. Catered and provided for a wide range of dietary requirements.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Price.
Some of the reception staff could be more customer focused and friendly.
We arrived early, before check-in. Had lunch in the bar. Give their pizza a miss. I don't eat pizza and I didn't even find it visually appetising.
The bed springs need oiled.
Room comfort, bed & linen comfortable, nice touch to have more than 2 teabags as well compared to other locations & the overall temperature perfect, breakfast selection good & noise levels were acceptable for premises of this size.
The room carpet didn't appear clean & was stained, the shower base could do with scrubbing/bleaching
Room was clean and modern.
The room was not sold correctly on booking.com. it said the bed in the king room was 180 to 210cm, it was a standard double. To top this the room had a big gap under door and there were lots of drunk people roaming corridors being noisy. Hardly slept. The car parking is also poor, very poor signage and instructions. Need to download app, or could pay by cash! Who has cash these days?! Why did the hotel not add on cost to price of room and make it easy for people. Didn't know we could pay at reception. Although they then charged £2 for privilege!
Great Location
Availability for a last minute booking
Pets allowed
Clean
Comfy bed
The high cost for a small room with no breakfast Inc
The charges for parking
The charges for a dog
The noise that came from the bathroom I presume this was when a room next to or above flushed there toilet or used water ?
The view was an eye sore - looking at a flat roof /industrial part of the hotel ?
Nice and spacious
Bed was slightly uncomfortable and there wasn’t any soap to use in the shower. Had to get some from the soap next to the sink instead
Good location, acceptable staff and the hotel was very clean.
The constant drone from the vents outside our room kept me awake all night. The room was too hot and I couldn't open the windows because it made the noise worse. The a/c was too noisy so no point in using that. For a super king sized bed, it had a massive dip in the middle of the mattress. When I expressed my concerns, upon checking out, I got a 'sorry', but that was it.
Great location
should’ve been a great day if it wasn’t for a wedding going on and kids running up and down the corridor till gone 11:30 pm
Having stayed many times before (visiting family graves a few miles away) familiarity was a bonus. Problems with the bedroom electronic key meant several trips back to reception to get it sorted. TV controls remain a complete mystery -perhaps an instruction card would be helpful if written in plain English

Very nice deco and spacious room
Disabled car parking fee. Car Parking should be free
Rooms were really clean, lovely decorated and had everything you needed. Was allowed a late check out. Staff were very friendly.
We couldn’t get into the pool as it was full, this was disappointing as we booked the hotel for these facilities. As a paying guest I don’t think we should have to pay for the car park.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Reception, bar and breakfast area and room were all nicely decorated and felt modern.
Booked a premium king room and whilst our room was ok, it felt more like a "cosy" king. So I wonder how small a cosy king would be!?
Mattress was sagging a bit and just ok for comfort.
Leisure facilities felt very tired and dated, but mostly functional.
The hotel itself is very nice, lovely Barr, dining room, reception area. Staff are very friendly and helpful
Gym is small, pool area needs some attention, the sauna was broken when we stayed, although there was talk of a repair after we left. The garden was very overgrown and seemed to be a waste of space, it could be a lovely area to use in the sunny weather, as it is right next to the Barr.
Very clean hotel, friendly staff. Peaceful nights sleep! Very good breakfast!
