Liked restaurant and room.
Connecting doors revealed man next door. Asked to change rooms and got less nice room. But restaurant, pool and sauna made up for it!
Have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last few years great location ,staff and hotel are brill will be booking again soon .

Location to York racecourse
Having to pay for parking as a resident of the hotel. The bed wasn’t very comfy. I felt like i was sliding off due to mattress topper being quite lumpy in parts
We stayed at the property as we were attending the races. It was a perfect location for us. We enjoyed the breakfast
Originally we were placed on the ground level, the room was very dark. The staff were able to move us onto the 3rd floor which we were much happier with.
Although the room was clean it could have done with a revamp. The bathroom was very worn and blinds were old and dirty.
We wanted to use the swimming pool but during our visit we were unable to due to children’s swimming lessons. This was a shame for us as it meant we didn’t have time to use the facilities available.
Didn’t think paying hotel guests should have to pay for parking overnight.
I did like the location of hotel not too far from main shops and attractions
Everything so be honestly we were over charge when checking in and had to come back down re wait in a long queue. Secondly we got a room on top floor room wasn't very nice there isn't any heating in this hotel so the top floor was so cold the windows would not shut properly, it was that bad we did get offered a x2 double room which we snapped up as my child was so cold in the original. Food was disgusting really not up to standards for a Marriott hotel.

Hotel at full capacity and full bar area but only two members of staff working the bar, and they run out of a few of the drinks, they knew in advance it would be busy as a the hotel was fully booked and big meeting at the racecourse opposite always fills the hotel.

Nearly £300 to stay one night. I paid for an upgrade but when I got there the room they gave us had a faulty window which wouldn’t close. They swapped us for another room. The shower in this room was barely warm and the decor was extremely tired.
It’s was luxurious as soon as you walk through the door staff where such good Hosts and the room on first impressions was gorgeous but I am a professional cleaner i did my standard checks force of habit on my part
After the checks I found hidden behind the curtain a tampon box I found a sock and when I check the bed the sheets were clean some how in the gap near the headboard I found the previous guests pjs and eye mask and DIRTY PANTS!!!! I called reception they handled it well but I only found the DIRTY clothes once in bed im a 19 year old who does not make much money and that was a gift for me and partner to get away !!!
