Near to the event I was attending, exceptionally clean, staff very friendly.my room was lovely and had all the facilities I needed.
I had a chicken Caesar salad for my dinner and it was absolutely delicious, excellent chef.
As a lone female traveler with a dog it would have been nice to have an area in the restaurant to sit and eat with my very well behaved dog. I had to eat in the reception area, it was extremely busy and noisy due to a large number of people, who appeared to be attending a conference and seemed to be working at a lot of the tables.
Clean and tidy
The Katsu burger was not value for money £18 for a slice of battered chicken and no sauce , very bland
The hotel was welcoming and very comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent.

Rude staff. I have been a guest for over 20 years when it was called the swallow. I have had many good experiences with staff in the past. My last visit made me decide that I was never going to visit again. The manager has since emailed me to apologise but I do think front desk staff need retraining. Claire in particularly was rude & unprofessional towards me.
Booked the suite for our honeymoon
Rude staff on check in. I was standing there in my wedding dress when she went on to say I hadn’t paid. When I already had. Some nice last sorted it out and she could see I clearly had paid whilst the other one just smirked at me. 250 for a night was not worth it. Should have followed. My instinct and went to down hall !
Comfortable one night stay in a quiet, well equipped and maintained room. Plentiful breakfast with attentive staff.

Room had dated bathroom and hotel bar needs more drink stock as it’s embarrassing Friday night one tonic left
