Ocean View Hotel

I really liked the location, beach is across the road near the pier, nice walk to Venice, plenty around for eats and drinks and ability to go to Anytime Fitness was a bonus. Room was great, clean and roomy. You can experience Venice without the loud noisy nights by staying here. Happy with the cost for a balcony king room. Heidi was very welcoming and helpful as concierge.

This hotel is right across the street from the beach however, to get there is not easy. But the staff; Joy and Josue, went out of their way to assist our family. Both of them were so nice! Rooms were really nice with view of the pier and ocean. Nice shower!

As soon as she learned we were coming to celebrate my daughter's birthday and that this trip to the United States was a surprise for her, she was incredibly kind. When we arrived at the hotel, my daughter was very emotional and in tears. Joy took her in her arms, said some lovely words, and helped make the moment even more special.

When we returned to our room, a delightful surprise awaited us: a small gift box filled with treats for her birthday. This gesture deeply touched us.

The hotel is also ideally located, which allowed us to fully enjoy our stay on foot. The premises are very clean, well-maintained, and pleasant.

A big thank you to Joy for her kindness, professionalism, and generosity, as well as to the entire hotel team for making this stay even more memorable.

I recently stayed at Ocean View Hotel and wanted to share my honest experience. The location is excellent, and the ocean view from the room was amazing. The room itself was immaculate, very clean, and well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I’d also like to give a special thank you to Joy and Teresa. Both were very helpful, friendly, and made my stay more enjoyable. Their professionalism and customer service really stood out.

Unfortunately, I had an extremely disappointing experience with Heidi at the front desk. At check-in, Heidi mentioned that she would get paid if I left her a review, and she also offered a free room upgrade in connection with that review. I found that concerning because reviews should be based on a guest’s honest experience and not influenced by incentives.
I was originally planning on leaving a positive review and mentioning Heidi by name. However, that changed after my pregnant wife went to the front desk for help after forgetting her room key. Heidi was on her phone and was extremely rude when my wife approached her for assistance. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or dealing with something personal, but the interaction was unpleasant and unnecessary.
I want to emphasize that Joy and Theresa were great and represented the kind of service guests hope to receive. I hope management looks into these concerns, because guests should feel respected and confident that their experiences and reviews are genuine.

Everything about the customer service and the hotel has been absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been privileged to be assisted by Heidi, Emily, Ashley, and Joy and no matter who’s helping the hospitality is incomparable. Amazing hotel and experience constantly. Also shoutout Cristian for always helping with the bookings and customer service I’m staying here for work and they’ve made the experience amazing.

The location of Ocean View Hotel cannot be beat. It is right on Ocean Dr., across the street from Santa Monica Pier. The staff, especially Eva, are amazing and take great pride in their work. They were kind to accommodate me with an early check-in when I was feeling ill. I definitely recommend Ocean View Hotel!

The hotel was average. For the price we paid, $980 for two nights, I expected more than average. You can hear everything, the walls are paper thin. The rooms are outdated. It is a good location and parking was nice. We did enjoy the balcony. However, if we were to come again, I would select a different hotel.

Ocean View Hotel Staff please re-read every single negative review, including anything that may have happened at your hotel on 6/20/2026 as we were there and witnessed what you did to another hotel guest and how you treated her and it was absolutely disgusting how you treated her. I booked I had a wonderful experience booking with my girlfriend at the Santa Monica Branch. Heidi, Alex, and Joy truly went above and beyond—they were so warm, friendly, and professional. The customer service was outstanding, and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with them in the future. The hotel itself is spotless, ideally located, and offers the most breathtaking view of the beach. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. A big thank you to the entire Team Santa Monica! Alex, I really appreciate you taking care of our car and parking. @Joy, your friendliness and warmth made us feel right at home. Heidi, thank you for leading such a fantastic team with so much dedication to the highest standards!

We booked this hotel last minute and have no regrets. The ocean view hotel was a great experience. We stayed one night while passing through Santa Monica. It is in a very convenient location to walk to many attractions, shopping and food. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly. Heidi and Emily checked us in and were very kinda and accommodating. We arrived early and were asking about parking and they got us in our room early so we had a place for our luggage while we went to explore. The Oceanview is definitely worth the stay. Incredible experience!
