Everything, such a magical place with the peacocks walking around its a special place for me and my husband
Nothing we love it all!
Service, Cleanliness, Value, Comfort and Rooms - Excellent Overall, no doubt. Returning guest very pleased. Hope to return again.
Beautiful hotel and surrounds. No leisure facilities were available and given £170.00 to stay in the hotel alone was not value for money.
This hotel is outstanding, from the second we arrived to the morning of departure, everything was exceptional. My room 126, was spacious and had everything one could ask for. 2 dark spots on the carpet was irrelevant. The bed was comfortable and it was a pleasure to have the peacock alarm at 6 am. Food was beyond 5star quality, plentiful and served to perfection. Breakfast was of a similar standard and for once everything was hot, even the eggs. There was plenty of choice if you didn't want the hot stuff. The staff were so accommodating and to mention anyone would do an injustice to the others. The other facilities the hotel provides are the best I have seen.
From my experience this is the best hotel I have stayed in , in over the 40+ years I having been travelling.
Pity I couldn't add an extra star and I do hope I can return with more friends.
The Dunadry hosted our wedding meal on the 4th August. It was a small wedding of some 20 guests. And we booked the River Suite a beautiful wood panelled room over looking the river. A beautiful location.
Leading up to the Wedding we dealt with Sarah Jane The Events organiser. It was essential to be able to communicate and meet the same person each time and provided continuity and reassurance.
She was extremely Professional, and prompt in all her dealings. And her prompt reply to our initial query ( unlike other hotels) was one of the reasons we booked the Dunadry.
On the day the food was delicious, with a generous amount. We received many compliments from our guests. The wine and other drinks delicious. And the service was extremely good, friendly and personable and we felt genuine with a shared joy in the occasion .
The Dunadry itself is beautiful, elegant, whilst being comfortable relaxed. Again some guests who had not been before commented on the high standards of the hotel. It was also good value.
A wedding day is a very special day in anyones life and the Dunadry hotel and staff were essential in providing us with the very best and ensuring we had a day to remember. Highly recommended.
Wonderful gardens, excellent staff and beautiful Peacocks
Beware the weddings they can be noisy
Beautiful setting. Close to airport
We were there for a Family Wedding. The event from start to finish had clearly been excellently planned, prepared and co-ordinated. The day went off without a hitch with all the Staff providing fantastic, efficient and cheerful service. The Wedding Planner was excellent and nothing was a problem. The food, the rooms and the grounds make it a superb venue for a nice break but especially for a Wedding. The proximity of the Airport was also a bonus for travelling guests. This is a Hotel not to be missed and I cannot praise everything about it enough.
Everything was amazing! The Spa facilities were brilliant. Really clean. We had a beautiful meal. Will definately be back!
Lovely hotel but sleep disturbed by the hotel peacocks that were nesting on the balcony and roaming around, through the night, and then squawking in the early hours waking everyone up and disturbing rest, so very loud.
We attended for a family wedding. The food and service were of a high quality. The reception staff were very accommodating to guests who had arrived having travelled a long distance. The hotel provided wedding MC was warm, helpful and very professional. We loved the peacocks roaming the gardens. A warm friendly hotel long favoured by flight crews.
I hosted my cousins hen party in the Dunadry this weekend and we had an absolutely faultless experience! I had booked the Beetling Suite for afternoon tea for 30 women and also the onsite cottage overnight for 6 of us.
The Beetling Suite was the perfect size with great amenities to run some activities throughout the afternoon, the staff were attentive and the food was plentiful & delicious! We had waiter service all afternoon and sampled most of the cocktail menu. There was a wedding on at the same time in the downstairs function rooms & you never would have known because we were very well looked after!
The cottage is a real asset to this hotel - 3 massive king bedrooms, all with en-suites with a private patio & hot tub. The house was comfortable & spotless and we really enjoyed our time there. We also had a breakfast delivery before checking out, which was excellent.
Can’t recommend Dunadry enough for a private function or a chilled girlie getaway! Aoife was a delight to work with during the planning, going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent time!
This review is for the dining facilities only. I feel it is unfair to review on one visit alone, however after many dining experiences in Dunadry I cannot fault it. From the moment you step through the door into the sumptuous reception, through the cosy copper bar to the lounge and restaurant, the staff are so friendly and helpful.
The menu has something for everyone and you will always find a dish that takes your fancy from the extensive daily specials. There is also the option to have some of the dishes on the main menu as a small portion for those with a slightly smaller appetite. I can particularly recommend the salt and chill chicken with noodles. The chef has elevated it to another level. The chicken goujons are freshly made on site and the coating is crunchy with the added dimension of tasty herbs. They are perfectly paired with the Cajun dip. The deserts are the pièce de résistance, in particular the tarte tatin. If you desire something sweet after your meal but not a full dish, there is a choice of traybakes available to complement your tea and coffee.
I look forward to many more visits to the divine Dunadry.
Everything
No air-conditioning in the bedrooms
The gardens, although small, were well kept and nice area to sit in.
The room was nice and clean.
Staff were friendly.
Food was good.
Looks run down from outside when you pull in.
There was nothing to do all day as the spa area and swimming pool were closed.
I’d have thought they’d have offered us the other central garden spa area as an alternative but no and it was empty.
We visited on Sunday for dinner, the hotel was busy but that’s not an excuse, now let’s get down to business, I ordered the salmon which came with roast potatoes, cabbage and bacon, mashed potatoes parsnips and carrots, so what was wrong with it, well the salmon was nice, but that’s where it ends, the mash was dry, the roast potatoes were hard and dry, the bacon was through the cabbage and was not cooked, the carrots and parsnips very poor and dry.
Catherine ordered the roast chicken which came with (you guessed it) hard dry mash, the same cabbage and bacon 🤮, and hard roast potatoes, very poor and not cheap at £79, needless to say we won’t be back for a while now, we’ve had enough, oh, btw I did enjoy the prawn cocktail for starters, while Catherine had a desert which wasn’t too bad, but the two mains 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Everything was great - had a very relaxing time enabled by well-trained and caring staff. We will be back before too long for some more relaxation.
