Amazing experience
There were people from outside the hotel entering into the manor and taking pictures with out room door 😂
The upgraded room we were allocated because the door lock on the original room would not work.

The original room we were allocated was totally unsuitable. Described as 'cosy' it was very small, dark and dingy. Certainly not worth anything like the price we paid. In fact, it was an absolute rip off.
We used the informal dining facility for dinner on the first night and the food was adequate but pricey and the menu very restricted and uninspiring. I ordered a glass of red wine which was corked. It smelt unbelievably bad and was totally undrinkable. A venue of this calibre should have bar staff who could recognise this. When I enquired when this bottle had been opened I was informed that it had been opened that day. I asked if anyone else had queried the wine and was told that it was only given to Americans and they would not have known anyway. Perhaps he thought my knowledge of wine was comparable to that of the Americans??? I certainly could not recommend this hotel to anyone.
de ligging is fantastisch
wij zaten in een cottage uitzicht op parkeerplaats en naast levering goederen, dat vond ik jammer. Wij zouden eerst met hond komen maar toch niet met hond gekomen en dacht daarom misschien in de cottage maar niemand heeft ons hier wat over gevraagd en had upgrade wel leuk gevonden naar main huis. Wij hebben ook in hun restaraunt met 1 michelin ster gegeten en golfen lukte helaas niet alle schifts al vol

حلو كنك عايش في فلم ، طلبنا مشروب مهيتو قلنا لهم انه مسلمين ماقصر معانا سوا لنا مشروب بدون كحول ، صراحه خذو ع ريوق 60 باوند وهو بس بيض عيون وكوفي وكرسون 2 🙂 ، وخذو علينا 60 باوند على تاخير شك اوت ، صراحه ممل مافي شي ، ماضن ارد له مره ثانيه
توقعنا الغرفه يكون داخل القصر بس طلع جنبه مثل فلل قديمه وصغيره سكنا بغرفه تحت وناس فوقنا يعني كل فله عايلتين ماحبيت ايد
The Manor and its grounds are spectacular! (above expectations!) Sitting outside, and walking the grounds was beautiful and relaxing. Our room was large and had a big picture window. It was clean, and it has a beautiful decor. I loved the title of the room (not just a boring number :) I also liked the uniqueness of having a stuffed lion be our communication to put outside our room to show if we wanted the room cleaned or not. A wonderful experience that we will never forget!!! The manor is literally connected to the town of Castle Combe. Very sweet and picture worthy!!!!
In the room design, there is not a bathroom door, probably good for those on their honeymoon, but that kind of design is not my cup of tea. C'est la vie. Everything else was remarkable, so I do not regret staying here, and would probably stay again!!
