OK location in a sketchy area.
Filthy property. Homeless or junkies around.
Parking is attached to the hotel. Good location to many venues, restaurants, etc.
Our room was close to Whyte Ave and the crowd noise outside was clearly heard from our room up until 1:30-2:00am. To be fair, it was a Saturday night and a nearby pub restaurant is a big gathering place for U of A students etc. Also, the area is not kept very clean and tidy. Empty pizza boxes littered the streets along with cigarette butts etc...especially in the morning. The city/businesses should consider sweeping and hosing down the sidewalks and streets on a regular basis.
Close to lots of great restaurants. Good price, nice and clean and very friendly staff. Good coffee in the room.
The communication about parking was a bit lacking - also an extra $21/night. I’d make sure to not get a room overlooking Whyte Ave as it would be very noisy on the weekends! We were on the back and it wasn’t too bad. We couldn’t really see out our window as the seal has failed and it was all clouded.

Overly priced. Had to pay for parking. Breakfast was offered at an additional cost which compared to a free continental breakfast at another cheaper priced hotel.
Exceeded my expectations. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Suite felt modern and recently renovated. Staff were exceptional. Location is perfect. And so rare to find a hotel with a noon checkout time (I could actually enjoy breakfast!). Would highly recommend.
It's an older hotel so a few things are still to be upgraded (ie: elevator). Don't let that worry you as everything that matters is fantastic

Bathroom fan didn’t work. Noisy doors outside ours. Unsafe feeling around the outside. Parking garage smelled like urine. Cable didn’t work in the bedroom. Poor water pressure in shower. Uncomfortable shower stall; no shelves, no foot ledge, water on the floor outside. Towels too small. No store inside.
