Breakfast was exceptional as were the staff. The lady on reception was lovely(think she was called Joanne).
Also Alexander's was great. The food was delicious and the young man that served us was very nice. The location was 20mins from town but a lovely walk and the weather was kind to us which helped.

Hmmmm. Car parking is probably the only negative. It’s a walk!! Really struggling to find a negative!!
waiting to be served at the bar for 15 minutes, you need more bar staff instead of one lad doing it all when you have people waiting !

When first arrive and walk through the door it feels nice.
The view from the rooms at the front of the hotel was beautiful. It looked over the gardens and into the distance, over the main road to the hillside
The room itself and shower room were too small, overall very clostrophobic. The toilet was only inches away from the shower cubicle. The shower cubicle was small and risen off the ground so had a big step to get in and out.
Romm was lovely and spoacious and clean, and quiet.
Breakfast was meidocre and not value for money - though the serving staff were good. Coffee terrible, food terrible. The hotel charges an extra £10 in parking to hotel guests, but you are not warned of this. This same charge does not seem to be applied for people coming to eat or drink at the hotel. Staff on the counter were entirely vacuous. I used to be a regular weekly Best Western stayer, it's sad to see them fall like this into extractions and mediocrity.
