The location is perfect for our purposes; close enough for a walk around the harbour and a short walk to restaurants and the theatre. The property is great, a classic hotel similar in style and quality to Fairmont hotels. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable. The staff are attentive and welcoming.

Everything! Location is amazing, staff is friendly with top notch customer service.
In house restaurant is superb!
Nothing
The Magnolia is a small boutique hotel that is very close to the waterfront, restaurant and other activities in Victoria. It is lovely, the rooms are great and the beds were scrumptious. Room service bringing ice every day was nice. We had dinner in the restaurant, and it was great. Highly recommend
Lovely hotel, welcoming bright room on the 7th floor and a great location for walking to bars and restaurants. Valet parking is a must.
Outstanding Hotel and Restaurant (The Courtney Room), in fact my favourite in the World hotel. The furnishings and design of hotel room are superb. The staff are exemplary. The atmosphere, music, flowers, design evoke serenity with a great vibe. The location near the Harbour and downtown is excellent.
We loved the room and The Courtney Room. The food was incredible and the staff were all very warm.
Bed was a little hard, but that's just personal preference.
Centrale locatie
Degelijk hotel, prima kamer
Great location and amenities. Love the L'Occitane products and Dyson hair dryer!
Stop looking at hotels. Just book the Magnolia. I am a true hotel snob and I loved this place. So lovely and comfortable. The bed was super cozy and the pillows were nice and plump. My boyfriend loved the Nespresso coffee maker in the room too. The staff were above amazing! So friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent. The restaurant was very good and the staff was great! The bartender was very helpful with choosing a wine and gave a sample for us to decide. The front desk staff was very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.
Really can't think of anything.
I would have given it a 5 out of 5 if the food was better!
Breakfast was really not good! Very slow for some very basic food and there was no fresh fruit offering! Dinner choices were limited too. Pricey but not that good! Duck breast was tough, fish too salty and the crab salad had hardly any crab! The milk bread was very good though!
Nice staff
The room had a bad view
Great location for exploring around downtown and easy access in and out of Victoria. EXCELLENT service. Quality linens, toiletries, lobby amenities. Staff was impeccably courteous, respectful and knowledgeable. Complimentary e-bikes were a blast! Delicious fruit infused seltzer available in the lobby upon return from the days outing. Every staff member was delightful.
Nothing, ever was great.
Great location, great staff, lovely rooms
The stay did not present operational issues, but the overall experience fell short of expectations in terms of hospitality. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a rather unfriendly manner; the receptionist’s attitude was rude and somewhat arrogant, which negatively impacted the hotel’s first impression.
The room initially seemed adequate; however, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, to the point of causing back pain the following day. In addition, the pillows had a strong and unpleasant odor, as if they were heavily used or not properly cleaned, which significantly compromised sleep quality, especially on the second night.
The inconsistency in service was also noticeable: at times we were greeted with certain cordiality, while at others we were completely ignored. In several moments, the reception area was unattended, creating a sense of disorganization and lack of operational standards. There were situations where staff kindly opened the door, while others simply ignored our presence, even seeing us with a dog stroller and bags.
Unfortunately, genuine hospitality was lacking.
