The location was excellent. We were so close to everything and within walking distance to great restaurants. We were so intrigued by the amazing art collection throughout the entire hotel almost everything was for sale. Quite the collection! A must for art lovers loved. We enjoyed our evening cocktails with the bartenders and got so much info and history about the Kessler connection it was fascinating.
When checking in the desk recognized that we had been with Bonvoy for many years. With that acknowledgement we usually get just a little extra special treatment for our loyalty. We were assigned a room right next to the gym, and it was tiny. Originally, we booked a king size room but were put in what I thought was a less than desirable room with a double bed. The staff did rectify this, and we were moved to a room with King size bed. So, in the end it was all good. Front desk staff could benefit from better training to recognize and reward longtime customers.
The location could not be better. Loved the old Spanish vibe of the hotel. The pool was beautiful and just the thing to cool off after a hot morning touring around. Loved the fruit infused water in the lobby, did not have a chance to try the bar or restaurant but they looked nice.
The room was nice, if not super spacious, and overlooked the pool.
The renovations that were being done weren’t too intrusive, but it did take away a little from the ambience as the elevator was all covered in cardboard to keep it from being damaged.
Our room had a faint mildew smell or something we couldn’t quite put our finger on. It was very noticeable upon coming in from the hallway. A mini fridge would’ve been nice as having cold water handy is so important on these hot days. We are so used to having them in most hotel rooms, we were surprised that there wasn’t one.
Hotel is historic and decorated in Spanish Style as per the time period and matching the history of the city. The bed was very comfortable. We slept well. The staff members were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The pool area was nice & relaxing (could be bigger and deeper) . We loved having a Starbucks right downstairs. The hotel was clean and well kept. There is a restaurant in the lobby area but we did not eat there. The prices are a bit too high. We also checked out the Spa and the prices were pretty high there too. Overall it was a great experience. The hotel is currently being renovated and there were some inconveniences due to the construction but the hotel was very accommodating in ensuring we had the best experience. The hotel is located very close to Saint George’s street and walkable to most attractions. The location is great. Additionally they provide a beach bus daily and chairs & umbrellas upon arrival at the beach (these services must be arranged the day before at the front desk).
Hotel seems old and not clean staff was great but hotel needs a lot of work
Anytime we have the opportunity we stay at Casa Monica and have never had a bad experience. Until this time.. On our way home after diving 10 hours we decided to get online & make a reservation. We got to the hotel & went over to the bar while waiting on our room. The bartender was very pleasant & informative on new places in the area. The price for the room was very expensive but we wanted to stop. On the way to the room there was a foul odor like sewer in the hallway (so bad). We get to the room & first thing I notice is the only window in the room is a small window toward the top of the wall. Like a basement room. If it would have said this or showed a picture on the website there is no way I would have paid for this room. Then the noise starts a loud vibration we did not know where it was coming from. I went down stairs & find out the hotel is under renovation & there may be some noise in the rooms. If I would have been aware of this at time of booking I may not have stayed. Then later we go down stairs to the bar and take a seat, there were more people at that time. The bartender from earlier was gone and there were now 3 people behind the bar. We waited and waited all three standing around talking with each other not making drinks, nor bringing menus nothing. Finally, we had enough and left to another bar/restaurant. This was the worse experiences we’ve had at this hotel. We may need to look more at Airbnbs next time.
Location is great. Room is decent if a little tired. We met a very nice bartender.
Reception was cold. More interested in making sure that they charged for everything than welcoming their guest. The hotel is old and tired. We were told on check in "oh BTW you will have no water supply from 11pm to 6am due to maintenance". No concession on price for that and the water didn't restart until 6.50am.
Great location and super friendly staff. Very accommodating to our requests.
They are experiencing some minor improvements but we get that it has to be done to keep the gem in top shape.
This review is for the Cobalt Lounge in this beautiful hotel. We had read about the history of this hotel built by Henry Flagler and decided to have a look around. The lobby and the public rooms are beautiful, with Spanish and Moorish influences. We ordered drinks (cocktails and wine) and light bites. The lobster and shrimp roll was absolutely delicious as was the sandwich ordered by one of us. Service was excellent and prices reasonable. Located across the street from the wonderful Lightner museum, another gorgeous Flagler creation. Highly recommend!
Excellent hotel experience. The staff is the best! The valet parking tunnel brings you to ground level entry. Checking in is fun when you get a complimentary glass of champagne. The food and cocktails were superb. Located in the heart of St. Augustine makes it an ideal location to walk the city and experience the shops, museums and city history.
Beautiful spaces, quiet bedroom with silent AC and lots of space.
Izabella's dinner service was stand out - thank you!
Pool is small but its an old building so forgiven!
Everything
We loved our stay!
And Gabriel with the PMC Valet team was wonderful!
My sister and I stayed here for the first time and the experience was great! The hotel is located walking distance to downtown. The bridge into town is under construction so we had to take a detour which led us through some very pretty residential neighborhoods. The rooms at the hotel are very clean, beds are comfortable, and breakfast is good. The best thing about this place is the friendly staff. We were greeted by a wonderful young man named Jesse, who parked our car and made us feel very welcome. We were looking for a place for dinner and took his recommendations to eat at the nearby Iceplant restaurant and a taco place for lunch the next day. Both were fantastic. The front desk staff was also very welcoming. I will stay here again.
L’emplacement
Les lits non confortables et les équipements, l’espace piscine n est pas agréable.
