Comfortable stay close to the Botanical Gardens
Pros:

The location was perfect for us - close to the Botanical gardens and a nice walk to Melbourne Park (where we watched our daughter complete the Run Melbourne half marathon). Having an option for parking was great (not all venues have this).

Cons:

We were only there one night and didnt get to explore all the attractions close by or utilise the facilities.

For what we needed it was fine but I wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Rotted walls in pool area that left big holes, Couch was broken in places, springs pushing through couch cushions, shower was old and in need of replacing, water pressure wasn’t great, having to step into a bath to take a shower, shower being opened, communication regarding the alternative parking, batteries in tv remote were flat,

Poor
Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, not only because of the condition of the facilities but also due to the way management handled a genuine medical incident involving our three-year-old child.

On our second night, my three-year-old son suffered a severe asthma-related coughing fit, which caused him to vomit on the bed. My husband immediately went to reception to advise staff of what had happened. We were reassured not to worry, told that “these things happen,” and staff kindly replaced the soiled blankets. We offered to leave the dirty blankets in the bathroom as we were checking out the following morning.

When checking out, I again informed reception about the vomit-soiled blankets and was once more told it was “no problem at all.”

Shortly after leaving the hotel, I received a phone call advising that I owed $30 for the blankets. During the same call, that amount was then changed to $70. This came as a complete shock given we had been reassured twice that the situation was understood and that there was nothing to worry about.

What made the situation even more concerning was the explanation provided. I was told the blankets needed to be thrown away because of the vomit. However, I was then informed that the hotel does not actually dispose of blankets with “a little bit” of vomit on them, only those with “a lot.” This raises serious hygiene concerns. The thought that bedding contaminated with bodily fluids may simply be reused depending on the amount is unacceptable.

The duty manager then stated that he had assumed there was only a small amount of vomit, which was why staff had initially told us not to worry. At no point did anyone show empathy or understanding that this was an unexpected medical episode involving a young child. Instead, the focus appeared to be on recovering money from guests.

I repeatedly requested to speak with the hotel manager to discuss the matter, but despite multiple requests, the manager refused to contact me.

Great price, great location, great room!
Pros:

Great location, close to the city, directly opposite the Shrine and the Botanic Gardens, right next to Anzac Station, room was big and spacious, with fully featured and functioning kitchen, great for a family. Nothing even remotely similar for the price we paid.

Cons:

It's a little dated, the reception area could do with a bit of jazzing up.

Uitstekend hotel op prima locatie
Pros:
