This place was the pits, and is a far cry from its claim of 4 stars. I have zero positives to share about this crummy, dated hotel based in the dusty outer area of Palermo.
The multiple negatives of our stay were compounded by the fact that all staff are beyond rude, had zero interest in providing any form of customer service let alone a simple smile.
Despite booking 7 months out, they still couldn’t fulfil a simple, early request to have rooms opposite or adjacent so we could be near our kids. The only saving grace was the decent buffet breakfast but that aside:
- No wifi in the room, I was repetitively lied to about a supposed “wifi technician” looking into this
- ridiculous pool closure rules between 12-3, precisely when you’d want to cool off, take a break and enjoy the crappy rooftop surrounds
- No shampoo and conditioner - just the awful bottle of body wash all in one
- the advertised pool bar was never open
- no iron - our request to please get hold of one so my husband could iron a shirt for dinner was met with a decisive “no”
- one slice of bread at the buffet had visible mould
- all staff seem so miserable, completely put out by the presence of guests - in particular the young man with glasses, and young girl with long bob
The location is too far out to walk, and the ridiculous hold that Sicilian taxis have over tourists make a simple 7 minute trip a one-way €25 exercise.
If I could give it negative stars I would.

I recently stayed at this hotel and completely disagree with the negative reviews. For the price, it is an excellent choice. My room was spotless, modern, and clearly recently renovated. The maid service was outstanding; towels were replaced daily, and the room was immaculate upon my return each afternoon. The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi signal, which was too weak to reach the room consistently.

A complimentary breakfast is included, featuring pastries, toast, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, bacon, and eggs. It is essentially a continental breakfast with a few hot extras—perfect for starting the day.

The top-floor swimming pool opens daily at 10:00 AM with a lifeguard on duty. While pool towels are provided, swim hats are mandatory to enter the water; these can be purchased directly from the lifeguard for €3. Note that the pool area lacks a bar and shaded areas, so you may need to head back to your room to cool down or grab a drink.

While the surrounding neighbourhood looks a bit run-down and tired, I experienced absolutely no safety issues. It is a pleasant 15-minute walk into the main town centre, making the overall location highly convenient. This hotel deserves much higher ratings and offers fantastic value for money. I highly recommend staying here.
