Et hyggelig hotell med god atmosfære på toppen av byen.
Pros:

Frokosten var nydelig. Flott utsikt fra restauranten. God badstu. Flott utsikt fra hotellrommet. Gode rom, gode senger. Bra bad. Hyggelig personell. God beliggenhet. God atmosfære. Vi likte oss skikkelig godt på hotellet.

Cons:

Middagen tirsdag 28.07.2026 var en skuffelse. Vi hadde gledet oss veldig og bestilte kongekrabbe. Den var tørr og seig og overdynget med urter/krydder. Kjente ikke krabbesmak og porsjonen var ikke større enn at det såvidt ble nok på en skive brød. Forrett og dessert var ok, men ikke mer enn det. Et overpriset måltid. Valgte å ikke spise flere middager på hotellet under oppholdet.

Pros:

La Funken Lodge è decisamente uno degli hotel più belli, se non il più bello, delle Svalbard. L'atmosfera è bellissima, magica. Ci sono molti spazi comuni dove leggere e rilassarsi. Lo staff è gentilissimo e aiuta anche nel prenotare escursioni (anche se consiglio di prenotarle prima di arrivare, perchè molte si riempiono alla svelta). Noi abbiamo prenotato in loco l'escursione per vedere i puffin ed è stata veramente eccezionale.

Cons:

Mi è piaciuto tutto. Forse l'unica cosa che potrebbe essere migliorata è il numero di biciclette messe a disposizione. Sono solo 3 e bisogna affrettarsi a prenderle, perchè non c'è un vero e proprio sistema di prenotazione. Noi ci siamo riusciti una mattina presto e andare in giro per Longyearbyen in bicicletta (fra l'altro con pedalata assistita, quindi facilissimo) è un'esperienza che veramente consiglio

I would not stay there again. I thought the hotel could have helped me find medical attention.

Cons:

I was sick and not hungry. The elevator floor was filthy. Too many stairs in the lobby and on the floor my room was on the pull my luggage on wheels. That was difficult being sick.

Pros:

Friendly staff, that's for sure! Thanks to Tina for nice conversations! Clean rooms, there is a sauna at the hotel. The hotel has nice design.

Cons:

Our room had problems with lamps/light bulbs. They got lit up by themselves several times which was disturbing during the night. Breakfast could have had more variety. It's a pricey hotel and I'd expect an airport transfer to be included in the rate 😁

Avons passé 2 nuits dans ce très bel établissement pour un séjour très agréable
Pros:

Le côté cosy. Le restaurant et les petits déjeuner sont excellents, personnel accueillant et sympathique.

Cons:

Il manque une terrasse extérieure car quand il fait beau ce serait agréable un espace extérieur. On ne peut pas moduler le chauffage.
