Not value for money, although the location was good the room was not comfortable enough.

The location was very good, very close to Aghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

Cons:

I paid extra for a room with a view to the city (mainly I expected view to the Aghia Sophia mosque but the room was in the first floor (2 meters from the ground - the lobby was 1 meter below ground) and it was at the rightmost part of the building with very little view to anything, the best thing I could view was a parking place with lots of cars and traffic and noise coming from the street. In that circumstances it could be better if we had a cheaper room in the back with no view as we would avoid the noise! The light in the Bathroom was really low for the mirror, not suitable for shaving, no extra mirror was available. The A/C was not working and the temperature in the room was quite high so we felt really uncomfortable with this. The hotel was obviously not full with guests but the staff didn't make any effort to move us to a better room although I tried to inform them that the price we paid was very high for the value we got ( just out of curiosity I googled the hotel and I could find a much better price in the same hotel for the days we stayed if I searched in booking.com so obviously we got a relatively high price, but the staff claimed that the list price was much higher and we got the room with discount, although obviously no one gets the actual list price but a much lower price.) Overall, staff was polite but no real action was taken for any complaints that we kindly expressed. Also, the breakfast was not what you expect from a 4-star hotel.

Pros:

The location was excellent. 3 min walk from hagasophia and basilica cistern. Everything is nearby

Cons:

I felt like it was fake advertisement. My room did not look like what pictures showed. There are no views from
Rooms and on the rooftop you can bearly see haga sophia. Pictures are false advertisement. Hotel looks kind of old and outdated and staff in FD are not very friendly

Lovely hotel so welcoming and a wonderful location.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Lovely hotel, very welcoming and helpful staff. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable with lots of fresh food choices in the buffet.

Cons:

You can hear the call to prayer however we really enjoyed this. It adds to the experience of being immersed in the culture. So in short there wasn't anything that we didn't like.

A wonderful Hotel to stay at In Istanbul.
Pros:

We had a thoroughly enjoyable week at the Celal Sultan Hotel with an excellent view of Hagia Sophia which was a five minute walk away. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious with a comprehensive variety of hot and cold food. This hotel is perfectly situated for all the major sights. A perfect place to stay in Istanbul.

Nice hotel in good location
Pros:

I loved my stay here. I was traveling with a group and check in was quick, but still warm and personalized - Kerem really took care of us!

Location was great, safe and very walkable and lots of breakfast options to start the day. Would stay again!

Favorite Istanbul Hotel
Pros:

The minute I walked into the hotel I was warmly welcomed. A very comfortable and quiet place to stay while exploring Istanbul. I love their lobby and morning breakfasts. All the workers there are wonderful!!

Great, friendly and comfortable hotel
Pros:

I love this hotel and the staff is always so friendly especially Kerem. He goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast is really good, and it’s so close to all the wonderful things to see in Istanbul. I can’t wait to visit again!
