Lovely area, shame about the accommodation and food.
Pros:

The staff were nice, helpful and friendly. Location is good, great things to do and see nearby. A mile from a brilliant pub with very good food.

Cons:

Where to start..
The room was dated, worn but basically clean. The facilities are basic and again worn and would have been great a number of years ago.
The worst thing for us was the bar and restaurant. Expensive for the quality offered, no care taken to any parts of the drinks or food. Poor choice of drinks and quality again. Cracks in glasses, frozen pizza bases with cheap cheese and raw tomatoes on top for £15. Pork mains with cold mash, packet gravy and no veg. The mushroom starter had one sliced mushroom in and a load of raw onion.
We never complain or say anything but it was such a rip off for terrible food. I ended up going to the staff to say we were very unhappy.

My son loves to play tennis, the concrete court was in a terrible state. Not been used or cleaned for many years with a holes in the nets etc.

I could go on and on. We made the most of the trip and loved the area.

Satisfactory but expensive for what we had with room issues that we couldn't easily raise.
Pros:

The location was nice, staff friendly, polite and well organised, the bed was clean and comfortable, the cabin was rustically charming.

Cons:

The room / cabin was cold on arrival, there was only one light to light the room, the windows and doors were difficult to open, bath side panel was shabby and had loose bits of wood, water pressure was terrible in the shower, there was no phone in the room although we were told to call reception on "0" from the room phone if we needed anything. We were there for one night, if we had planned to stay longer we would have complained to reception the following morning.

Disappointing and upsetting
Pros:

The location was stunning, most of the staff was lovely with us.

Cons:

Guys please dont stay here the whole entire place needs a massive refurbishment. It is disgusting We stayed in a cabin executive suite and (there was nothing executive about it) for my birthday weekend my partner payed over 300quid for 1 night and fml its dishevelled dated theres dog scratches all over the doors as well as dirt and stained carpets and even blood on the doorframe. The food we were served a chicken starter and the chicken was raw the mash on the main was clap cold the chips burnt to death. Partner was ill all evening from only eating a tiny bit of it.Im not sure who owns this place but SORT IT OUT! otherwise nobody will ever want to stay at this place. Grimey dirty pool
The only 4 good things were the woods, the waiter was lovely and polite only a young lad with braces sorry we didnt get ur name but we were disgusted with how that chef spoke to you that chef needs sacking before he poisons someone. Also really lovely bar man and the manager, lady with the crutch sorry we didnt get your name either. The fact your charging so much money for this is actually a disgrace. We didnt go back in for breakfast in fear of being ill again.
Just really upset and disappointed with the outcome of the stay. If I’d have known what the place was like before booking I really would not have paid to go.

Disappointing due to water issue. Poor breakfast. No shower or toilet flush.
Pros:

Proximity to airport. Competitive price. Staff great - warm and helpful.

Cons:

No running water. Tired rooms need investment. Cooked breakfast obviously sat under heat lamps too long - dried out eggs, tomato and black pudding.

Beautiful location, poorly run/ maintained hotel.
Pros:

The location is brilliant. The hotel is set in a beautiful area, stunning. We booked the hotel as we had arrived back after a late flight, so it was great being so close to the airport.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff who served us breakfast were also lovely.

Cons:

We arrived late to the hotel and had to go looking for a member of staff to check us in. The gentleman seemed surprised to find that we would be checking in, despite me emailing the hotel prior, when I made the booking, explaining that we would be arriving late after a long flight.

The room had a musty, damp smell when we entered. If it wasn't so late and we weren't so tired I would have asked to change rooms, but it was nearly 4am and I just needed to sleep a few hours before an hour and 20 minute ride home.

We were then woken up to the sound of loud crashing. I can only assume it was trays or metal cages. It was approx 8am, meaning we had about 4 hrs sleep at this point. The loud crashing noises went on for a while, initially I thought it was building work going on, it was so loud, but the longer it went on I could identify metal banging.

The bathroom was dirty. The skirting boards were black and the shower head had skum/ mould on it.

I wouldn't recommend the hotel, unless some drastic changes were made.
