An original 1950's style hotel with great sea views
Pros:

The location is perfect for walking, bus routes & journey time to the airport. Indoor warm pool with loungers to relax in. Staff helpful. Breakfast buffet varied and replenished quickly. If you ask they have gluten free (sem gluten) sliced bread.

Please be advised this hotel does not have lifts. The layout is 1- 6 blocks, each block accessed via stairs.

Within a short walk there are cafes, mini Market & restaurants (recommended Antonio's).

Walk to Cristo Rei is downhill, takes around 20 minutes. There is a cafe with lovely views.
The cable car down to the beach is currently €5 per person return trip. Would not recommend walking down or back up unless you are good with steep walking especially in the heat.

Take the 555 bus to Reis Magos Beach. €2.05 single ticket. Approx 20 minutes journey. Blue flag natural stone beach with swimming area, diving, canoeing, snorkeling, and a long flat promenade to walk along. Toilets in a block.

The seafront restaurant offers fresh fish, meat, sweet potatoes, fried maize squares along with home made desserts. Range of drinks, ice creams and snack options.
Lovely place to enjoy listening to the waves.

Cons:

There is no kettle in the studio. You have to boil water either in the microwave or on the hob.
When I asked at Reception I was told 'we don't do kettles but you can ask for hot water from the bar which opens at 6pm'.

Delicious breakfast
Pros:

The swimming pools are very good and the gardens are beautiful. The breakfast is fabulous.

Cons:

It need renovations. I was in the building #6 and the signage to reach the gardens and swimming pools inside is very poor. There is not WiFi.

Cons:

J’ai fait le checkout et demander à annuler la 2 eme nuit parce que Transavia avait trouvé un vol 1 jours avant.
Il m’a été dit qu’il fallait voir avec booking et lorsque j’ai contacté booking, il m’a dit que c’était l’hôtel qui pouvait décider d’annuler les frais d’annulation.
La réponse de l’hôtel n’est pas très commerçante !
Je ne le recommande pas.

For the price I expected better quality.Very dated circa 70/80’s

The pool was ok and the breakfast was good

Cons:

The rooms were old and dated.The provided soap and 2 small glasses only even though there was an old microwave in there and a hob .Beds were hard.It was not a cheap hotel .Hotel has seen better days
