Comfortable bed and great breakfast
Pros:

Pet friendly. It was close to the TCH. Friendly staff. She went out of her way to give me a room with a door to the exterior for ease of taking my dog in and out.

Clean and comfortable stay
Pros:

I originally booked a single room with two beds but when I arrived, we were upgraded to a suite due to the hotel being fully-booked. The suite was really nice - my cousin and I essentially had our own rooms with a connecting door - essentially, our own bathrooms, TVs and sitting areas. The bed was a queen size and the pull-out couch, which was the other bed, was a double. The room was very clean and the bathrooms were modern with good temperature and water-pressure in the shower. Despite being on the main road, I found the room to be quiet and the temperature comfortable. There was also plenty of parking and the hotel is within walking distance to eateries if you don't want to drive into town for a meal.

Cons:

When I asked about whether we could switch to a room with two beds, we were informed that the couch was a pull out. There was a heavy chair and coffee table in the way, which meant we would have to move those and then pull out the bed and then make up the bed ourselves. While I understand that the hotel was full, I expected the front desk to at least offer to have someone set up the bed. I had to mention that furniture had to be moved around before the clerk offered to send someone up to help me. And while the person who they sent was very helpful in moving the chair and the table, and pulling out the sofabed, they didn't offer to have someone set up the bed itself - they just told me where to find the linens. It was a not-so-great start to the stay but we were only there one night. Regardless, the staff were overall very pleasant and helpful.

Albatross is old and tired and overpriced
Pros:

Location good, parking easy, restaurant on site. WiFi good. TV good. Beds comfortable. Quiet street noise.

Cons:

The place is old and tired. No.luggage carts. Rooms small for price. Lights dim. Furniture old and uncomfortable. Some rooms had split bathrooms - sink and open closet storage on one side, toilet and shower on the other. Room.phone and alarm not working. HVAC v er y noisy - bring ear plugs. Staff trying but not enough of them. One hour to get breakfast. Cheap for Gander but overpriced for services provided. We will not stay here again.

Albatross Hotel is a good choice of a place to stay in Gander, despite being a bit dated tired looking.
Pros:

This hotel is in a great location. Staff is very friendly. The breakfast (not included for us) was very good.

Cons:

Things are a bit dated, but still comfortable. Restaurant was a bit understaffed and our wait time for breakfast was pretty long.

Cons:

The room was small and only 1 comfy chair. Also the foyer and hallway were very dusty and ramped up my allergies. The only window we had was very dirty
