spacious clean in the country
nothing i did not like
We spent 2 nights at the Vale Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the whole stay .Staff were all.very friendly and helpful and food in the Vale Grill and Bar beautiful.
There was nothing we didnt like
Breakfast was lovely as we were able to find a table in the conservatory overlooking the golf course. Room had a new view over the golf course and had a balcony but unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to sit outside.
Although I paid for a double room - I was given a twin room, however as it was only for one night and it was a bigger room than the other double rooms, with a better view over the golf course. I did not see the point of mentioning it. Also the air conditioning was locked so had to go through reception each time I wanted to change the temperature
The apartment was great with all amenities in separate room. It was very spacious

Great breakfast, however it was not cheap. Was not disappointed but would not normally pay that price - it was a choice of convenience due to time constraints.

Maybe petty but towels were old and carpets could have done with a clean as there were stains very visible.
Room size and location very nice, we asked for and got a room with a bath
Shower not great, overhead spray very sharp on the skin to the point of being uncomfortable, hand spray very slow water flow, no indication which valve direction was hot or cold. Also we had breakfast at 9:30 by which time all the "hot" food was cold
Great location just off the M4, huge room with a huge & very comfortable bed, had a lovely meal in the bar and the buffet breakfast was one of the best i've had

Lounge area wasn’t particularly comfortable
Beautiful setting and superb rooms with a lovely balcony overlooking the grounds. Big car park no problem parking. Shuttle service to Hensol Castle which is awesome. The staff were excellent

Parking, quiet location, comfortable and spacious rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Col water taps were running hot, so had to use cold bottled water for handwashing/ teeth cleaning.
