Amazing facilities
Rooms are extremely basic, needs an urgent update. Uncomfortable beds, mattress and pillows.
Very bare rooms and bathroom. Could do with some sprucing up
Nice room, good breakfast, stayed for a golf trip-tough course.Spa looked good but did not use
No fridge in room to keep drinks cool overnight
Welcoming and clean
To get to the pool you have to walk through a bar and a gym
The setting and surroundings of the hotel and facilities. Free access to swimming pool, gym etc. Checking in online. The room was excellent, breakfast, again lots of choices. The cafe bar nice for meeting friends. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful in making your stay very relaxing and enjoyable.
We have stated before and loved the hotel. Lots to enjoy. Staff are friendly. Very clean.
The room we had this time was adjoining with I didn’t like. The bed was smaller (my husband is 6ft 3) so his feet were right at the bottom of the bed. The room didn’t have a separate bath and shower. E were just a little disappointed.
Lovely room.
Excellent facilities.
Comfy bed, nice bathroom, great location
Good value for money. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would advise more reception staff around 17:00. Having one person can take a while to check in. Bar food menu needs more selection. What they have is nice just need more options. Rooms really nice just make sure you have USB plug as no USB ports for charging. Beautiful location easy parking. New car charging ports have been installed would recommend
Came for a one night golf break…played 2 courses which were in excellent condition and enjoyable. We arrived a couple of hours early and checked in the pro shop if there were any earlier tee off times…we were told rather abruptly “No”…within 2 minutes we were approached by the course Marshall as they’d had a group cancellation and did we want to tee off early… not sure if the pro shop even checked…the Marshall guy was lovely and very helpful. .The resort advertises that there is a “refill station” to purchase drinks half way around both courses…however on the hottest day of the year 33°…the vending machine was empty and we saw no one on a cart around the course selling drinks. Following a mention to the pro shop, the next day there was someone on a drinks cart..however yet again we were unable to use the vending machine as it wasn’t accepting card payments…it would be good if the machines were kept under constant review throughout the day and re stocked.
The room was very clean and comfortable…however if booking definitely ask for a room away from the massive noisy outdoor fans.
The check in and out staff were great….really friendly and helpful.
The food was good and bad…husband had good size portion and excellent food, but as a vegetarian the options were very limited..the starter of babaganoosh was good…but the “flatbread” was the size of a darning needle..so basically it was very very sloppy. The cous cous main was tiny…more like a starter…the dessert was exceptional…a few extra options for vegetarians would be good…when people have played 18 holes of golf they need something substantial with a bit of carb.
Breakfast was excellent…veggie sausages were a welcome addition…just ask for them.
The price of drinks was extortionate….nearly £14 for two pints of shandy… this put us off having another drink or a pre dinner drink…the mark up on one pint of lager split between 2 drinks, and lemonade out of a dispenser must be phenomenal…. Shame as we’d have drunk a lot more if it was more reasonable.
Special mention to our lovely server Beth…and the lovely blonde lady checking in for breakfasts
Overall I would definitely recommend the vale…and will go back for another golf break..just need to sort out the food options for veggies…veggie burger and chips always goes down well!
The staff were incredibly helpful, attentive and appeared to truly like their work.
It was all faultless- i have rebooked to come back next week!
Gold course wouldn't allow my 15 year old experienced son to play- i understand though so not a huge deal
Bedroom and gym/spa facilities were lovely.
Drink prices were extortionate- £25 for a double g&t and a pint of lager is crazy.
Stayed at The Vale for one night. Unfortunately, our initial room was dirty, and after reporting this we were moved to another room which was also not clean.
We requested a refund due to the condition of the rooms, but were only offered a discounted stay and later a complimentary future stay. After explaining that we live a considerable distance away and would prefer a refund rather than another stay, we were disappointed that a satisfactory resolution could not be reached.
The facilities appear to be well presented, although we did not have the opportunity to use them.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and based on our stay, I would not recommend the hotel for an overnight visit.
Spa and hotel was great. Food was amazing!
Shame you have rubbish wine glasses instead of the thick rimmed ones you provided. When we seen the thinner better glasses in the restaurant you were unwilling to let us use those, despite us spending over £100 for 2 bottles of wine.
Also pillows were lumpy
The spacious room. The facilities were excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly.
Only one thing we didn't like was the cost of the food, it was quite expensive.
