We enjoyed the sights and food . Madrid is a great city to visit and safe for walking around.
Pros:

Location very central near to old town good neighbourhood. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful.

We loved the ambiance and the lovely bar/ restaurant.

Good supplies of shower caps tooth brush/paste combs etc shoe polish. Very handy to have.
In 33 degree heat it was great to come back to our lovely air conditioned room.

Cons:

The only thing I was a little unhappy with was the height of the shelf housing the tea/coffee maker.
It was awkward to reach. But apart from that we were very happy with our accommodation
