Hotel stated three of my banking cards were invalid and cancelled my booking. only to accept 10 minutes later the same room for £60 more with no issues on the same card. I was told my card "didn't work internationally and that they did not have the time to continue our conversation on the phone and to find somewhere else to stay". hardly a great representative of the hotel I wished to stay at. I spend a lot of time internationally and have never had an issue. I believe this may be a deliberate scam to hustle more money for the same rooms. bear in mind there was 10 minutes between cancelling my booking and offering me the same one for £60 more which is ridiculous. I think the way it was communicated to me was disgusting and even though they thought I did not understand Spanish they spoke amongst themselves whilst I was on the phone and I understood this. To treat someone different because I am English and to ultimately lie to me is disgraceful. I rebooked the room at the higher rate to see if it would be accepted and low and behold. it was. absolutely disgraceful. on top of this. I asked the lady on the phone if they accept bookings over the phone (completely rational) to which the response was "no". ultimately a hotel which you cannot call to make a reservation is either delusional or simply incompetent. I am sure if they would have tried my card it would have gone through successfully and then there would have been embarrassment all around. not only does a hotel cancel your reservations for "insufficient funds or wrong card numbers" they will not accept booking directly and tell you to go elsewhere. I tried to mediate suggesting if I was to book again at the higher rate and it went through then there was clearly a problem? after that perhaps on arrival I could have the original rate and use their taxi partner for my journeys during my trio. Apparently they didn't care because the next caller who might have made a booking like mine or simply wanted to stay at their hotel couldn't and to let them know this was more important than to speak to me. I since haven't been able to get an answer from their front desk (maybe it disappeared) and certainly no message back. I have thankfully found a lovely place to stay with no issues and they have accommodated all my requests kindly. especially considering my guest is partially disabled and this was made abundantly clear. what a shame to witness the decline of a hotel. Or perhaps they were always like this and that is the real shame. I'll leave it there but I have so much more to say I think it's a disgusting disgrace and Booking.com should consider these practices taking place. I have made a call to customer service and they were very helpful in trying to have this supposed hotel respond to me but to my HUGE surprise. nothing. take my money and leave me in the dark. is it cowardice or common practise. please enlighten me
Booked this hotel knowing the location of the metro is closer to the hotel but metro 🚇 takes at least 30mins walking since we are slow in walking sometimes will takes us 35mins..theres a bus stop next to the hotel but we didn’t know the route we didn’t try..
Room - No complaints, clean and tidy and comfortable bed..however bringing your toiletries will be much needed for your stay.. toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, cotton buds etc.,
Bathroom - be careful when taking shower , water tends to leak out from the bottom corner of the glass door for the bathtub, floor is slippery
Staff- My first experienced along Europe the staff are completely not friendly at all .. they don’t smile, not welcoming, No greeting, even though you say hello no reply at all..you ask something they tend to ignore..sad but that’s reality
IF I will book for my future trip in Barcelona I will choose the hotel with good customer service wherein guests are felt welcome..Front staff have absolutely no idea what hospitality means... they are clearly not trained at all.

The check in took 30 minutes. I had three bags and no offer for help. I was given a key to a room that someome else was in and the front desk guy took another 29
Minutes to get me a room and was surely with me as if I was the reasons the room was occupied. He saw me struggle with my three bags and still made no offer to help. Then I get into the room and the aircon did not work. The hotel is dirty and unpleasant. I wouldn’t stay there again.
El hotel está muy bien ubicado, la habitación es muy cómoda y grande, falta mantenimiento, las ventanas estaban sucias, pero ya desde años. El baño muy bien, pero, dejaron papel higiénico ya empezado, raro. Tuve que pedir, no me cambiaron las toallas, como estuve 2 noches, puede pasar. El desayuno no es gran cosa, está bien. El parquing lo cobran por sepaeado, caro, y es demasiado chico, complicado parquear, y solo tienen 5.

Great for the price, hallways smell moldy smoky, room not so much, about 25 min walk to rambla area, Cafes are next door and little grocery shops, will store luggage till check in time. good for the money.

The hotel was ok and adequate and the staff was nice.. But the facility and rooms inside were rather shabby and outdated. Yes, lodging in Barcelona is expensive …but I thought the price was way too much given the condition of the property.
Good location, very comfortable and great customer service
We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest room at a descent at least condition (from reviews and photos ). Hotel is near two lines of metro (red and blue line) so it was easy access from the airport. The area is very nice with lots of restaurants,bakeries etc around. Check in was easy and reception staff very friendly and welcoming. The room was very big with everything you need,tv free WiFi refrigerator. Single beds were big with very comfortable mattress.Bathroom also big with hot water all the time. A great choice in a good price ,we highly recommend it !
This place was awesome, I would definitely stay there again, train station was near, hop n hop bus was close, a lot of cafeterias around. It was perfect
Apenas 1 hora de haber hecho el check-in robaron en mi habitacion. 45 minutos despues de hacer el check-in salimos del hotel y al regresar pasada la media noche la habitacion estaba desordenada y ae llevaron efectivo y joyas. Al llegar y ver la habitacion en desorden, baje a la recepcion y el empleado subio y pudo constatarlo. Me indico q ellos no podian hacer nada y que tenia que ir a poner la denuncia en la policia. Recogimos todo y nos fuimos a poner la denuncia y en la policia me indicaron que debia habet llamado y no tocar nada
No frills but clean, comfortable, relaxed and acceptable.
Do not stay here unless you want to freeze and like noise. Temperatures dipped in early October. I tried to turn up the heat but the front desk informed me the owner had turned the heat off and there was nothing they could do so you the charge you for a room but there is not heat. Also on Friday and Saturday night a nearby establishment has a band that blares music until 2am which pour into your room Management knows all about it but you receive no warning when booking your room. I would never stay here again. But I had prepaid for four days so I got screwed.
