Pros:

The area and location was great, close to Paddington and the Tube.

Cons:

It was a heatwave in London that weekend and the room was extreamly hot. Unfortenately not possible to open the window more than a couple of decimeters. An external fan was avaiable, and it helped a little but only very little. The water in the shower did not run out from the bottom. The bed was very narrow.

Habían telarañas en el techo y una araña. La moqueta sucia y la colcha también. Las piezas del baño se caían/rompían sólo de mirarlas. Sin nevera en la habitación, ni ascensor ni aire acondicionado.

Es war ok für eine Nacht aber ich würde nicht wieder dort übernachten.
Pros:

Die Unterkunft liegt in einem sehr schönen Stadtteil. Es hat viele Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe, trotzdem ist es ruhig.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr warm, die Lüftung war zwar angestellt aber hat nicht viel gebracht. Die Matratze war sehr durchgelegen. Am Morgen um 9h hat eine Dame vom Hauskeeping laut an die Tür geklopft und gefragt ob sie sauber machen soll. Scheinbar wusste sie nicht dass wir abreisen. Diese Störung fand ich sehr unangenehm.

Good location for overly hot
Pros:

Location for this property was excellent.

Cons:

There was no air conditioning in the room and it was a very hot day. The windows opened the smallest crack so there wasn’t any ventilation. The shower was probably the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel, the water sprayed out everywhere and would stay attached to the wall fixture so had to hold it.

We felt mixed.
Pros:

Location. Great quiet neighborhood near restaurants and the Tube.

Cons:

The windows would only open a few inches and would not allow airflow on hot days. It was significantly cooler outside when it did not need to be that way.

Alles bestens..Lage top. Zimmer klein aber fein und der Stadtteil ist perfekt um London zu erkunden. Personal sehr nett. Frühstück günstig.

Sehr kleines aber sauberes Zimmer in einem Hotel mit toller Lage

Sehr freundliches und umgängliches Personal an der Rezeption im Partnerhotel "The Phoenix" nebenan. Gute Internetseite mit allen wichtigen Informationen. Ruhige aber gute zentrale Lage direkt am Hyde-Park mit den U-Bahn-Stationen Bayswater (Circle-Line) und Queensway (Central-Line) direkt um die Ecke. Dazu einige schöne Geschäfte, Restaurants und Kneipen fußläufig gut erreichbar.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und aufgrund der hohen Außentemperaturen war es sehr heiß im Zimmer. Da es keine Klimaanlage gab und sich das Fenster zum engen Innenhof nur wenig öffnen ließ, stand die Hitze in dem kleinen Zimmer. Es war zumindest ein kleiner Ventilator vorhanden, der die Nacht über durch lief, da ansonsten nur schwer an Schlaf zu denken war. Leider habe ich mir dabei wohl eine Erkältung eingefangen.

Stayed here previously but never again.
Pros:

I stayed here as we were going to Wimbledon so it was an ideal location being close to Bayswater station so we could get a direct line to Wimbledon! The area is great with lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from, and the street itself is pretty quiet so noise was never an issue.

However, the room itself wasn’t great. Our room was in the basement which looked like it was still a work in progress with cardboard & plastic covering on the floor. It looked straight out of a horror movie. When we entered our room, which we expected to be a triple room since that’s what we paid for, we noticed it had just 2 beds. Not a great start.

The room layout was poor, with 8 plug sockets all on one side of the room, so if you were sleeping in the bed closest to the window and wanted to plug your phone in while you were in bed - no chance of that.

As it was during the July heatwave, we obviously would’ve liked some air conditioning but since this hotel didn’t have it, a fan was provided in the room. The fan was actually broken though, however, and pointed up at the ceiling rather than at us, so it was making no difference at all. We contacted reception who said she would see if there was a spare, but we never heard back from her and didn’t receive a new fan. Poor service from the staff and safe to say sleeping was quite difficult.

The overall cleanliness was okay, but the carpet was dirty. The amenities weren’t the best, no fridge in the room, the WiFi was good though.

We’ve stayed in this hotel before and never really had any major issues, but this time has put us off from staying again. We do not feel as though we got good value for what we paid.

Pros:

i liked the set up, the staff were extremely helpful, the area was great, very accessible, the overall experience was very good I would have no hesitation in staying here again. and will certainly recommend the location to my friends

Cons:

I found the stairs a bit of a challenge , and would prefer a lower room in future,. The room was a little cramped but manageable, a relaxation area downstairs would have been nice.
