Cute hotel with a surprise facilities fee
Pros:

Room was spotless. The shower had good pressure and was hot. The bed was comfortable. Wonderful view of downtown Ashland, and very close to all of the shopping, dining, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Cons:

$15/day “facilities” fee that covers parking, WiFi, and access to a gym down the road. I wish this was noted in the listing, but instead it came as a surprise during check-in/out.

Wonderful landmark hotel in downtown Asnlsnd restored to all its o original 1930’s grandeur.
Pros:

Wonderful restored hotel in its full 1920’s grandeur.
Lovely corner room with wide vistas of Ashland duty and Bear Mountain. Fabulous hot breakfast.

Cons:

Additional facility charges on my recent booking that were not indicated in the Booking.com reservation.. Room was only serviced every 3 days. Early check-in request via email was never responded to and room was not ready upon arrival. My inquiry about the validity of the $15 a day facility charge never received a response

Great location to explore Ashland, grand old hotel with small rooms and outstanding lobby & garden
Pros:

Great location, friendly staff

Cons:

Small rooms, chairs not very comfortable. Beds were okay but had a sensation of rolling off if we got too close to the edge

This is a very sweet place, and has left me with satisfying memories.
Pros:

Location perfect for going to the theater. Hotel ambience very pleasing, room just right (safety features in bathtub particularly appreciated). Staff very helpful. Onsite parking appreciated, also access to parking through hotel.

Cons:

The procedures for breakfast were unclear, and the hot food was dried out. But at that price one really can’t complain; the fruit, oatmeal and toast were enough.

Gorgeous clean hotel within easy walking distance of theater and restaurants
Pros:

This historic hotel is absolutely gorgeous and a pleasure to stay in. The entire building was beautifully decorated in a natural history theme and everything looked like it had recently been painted. Our room had 2 Queen size beds and was super spacious and just a pleasure to stay in. Every minor detail was superbly decorated. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a small living area and a nice bathroom. The hotel is within easy walking distance of local restaurants and theaters, and Ashland is a super cute town. The hotel offers a low cost breakfast but we went out for brunch at Greenleaf (not too far away) and it was delicious.

Cons:

The bathroom was well maintained and beautiful, but I have two very tiny comments. I wish the shower head could be downgraded and the airflow upgraded. The tub is small. Having a large rain showerhead was nice, but meant there was little room to get out of the way of the water and it was a bit strong. The air circulation pushes cold air under the bathroom door, freezing your feet and making the door slam shut when you try to close it lightly. Watch out for fingers of little ones if staying here. But honestly, these are two such tiny quibbles and the room was sumptuous and a total pleasure to stay in. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful Property in a Great Location
Pros:

This is a beautiful property in the absolute bet location. Worth every penny. Surprisingly good air conditioning.

Cons:

The carpet in the hallway on our floor was covered in stains. But, that was literally the only flaw in the whole place and did not reflect in any way on the quality of our room.
