We booked this hotel due to its great location after a cruise and its proximity to Waterfront station and transport to the airport. This, it certainly had and the size of our room was very impressive, but there are a few quirky things which let the hotel down. They have a great room service option from the lion pub that forms part of the hotel and associated club, but it stops at 7pm which was really annoying when after a long day we just wanted a meal in our huge room. The room is on the serface well equipped with a small kitchen area including a microwave, but there is no cutlery, no cleaning products, in fact hardly anything in the cupboards. The staff were imitially very helpful, however when I asked a reception for some cutlery they told me to go back tomthe room and dial '0', refusing to do this for me which I did only to speak to the same person. Not very helpful but a pleasant stay overall.
We stayed here for 1 night and it was a great stay. I was not expecting much, as the facilities are limited. The great staff were able to provide a few options for breakfast etc. Very useful if you are headed for a cruise, the Hullo ferry or the Canada Line to the airport, all a 5-10 minute walk.
Great location near waterfront and cruise departure. Hotel is clean and rooms are a good size
I created an account simply to leave my first review ever. This hotel is very unprofessional and unethical. Booked at this hotel at a very reasonable rate. They cancelled my reservation randomly because it was a "scam". They indicated they would refund what I already paid and could rebook at the current price, which is a thousand dollars more. I booked significantly far in advance because there will be FIFA games during the time I will be visiting Vancouver. It is now impossible to find a hotel at a reasonable price. The hotel said there is nothing they could do. So, to reiterate what I said in the beginning, this hotel is unprofessional and unethical. WOULD NOT BOOK.
I should have read the reviews here before booking with this scam of a hotel. They cancelled my booking with no notice but I can see they have availability just at a much higher price than I booked. They are after the most money they can get even if it means ruining tourists travel plans. Unethical, dishonest and immoral. Don’t waste your time!
This was a very unusual hotel we were given a suite which was very good with plenty of nice extras also a great shower and very nice toiletries
but was showing some signs of wear it was in a great location but lacking in facilities like a restaurant or a proper seating area
it seemed that one side was a hotel and the other side apartments
I loved the pool, where I could really swim compared to other hotels where it's usually smaller
The lobby was attractive.
The room was fine and the hotel overall would have been a pleasant experience. But we booked based on the fact that we would have a "city view" room, which we did not receive.
Good location: 5 mins walk to conference venue at SFU. Many nice cafes and restaurants within proximity. About 5 mins walk to Sky Train station, easy walk around downtown areas.
Room: Spacious and well-appointed. Equipped with everything needed including a microwave and capsule coffee machine. The room was serviced and cleaned daily.
The air-conditioning was a little noisy. It would be nice to have a pair of room slippers for the cold flooring.
Location and very friendly staff
Decor was quite outdated in the rooms
The room was beautiful
There are two parking lots side by side and it was a little tricky to know which one to go in as neither had a sign for hotel and they were on a different street then the front entrance. A phone call to front desk straightened it all out but a sign would have been helpful.
