Pros:

The location was perfect for my business trip. . Breakfast was really good.

Cons:

But the room smelled like mildew. And needed some upgrades. Looked outdated. A lot of patchwork had been done. The host at check in was not t friendly or attentive.

Pros:

The front desk attendants (Veena and Hal) were wonderful and very accommodating about a payment issue I had. The hotel is clean but no frills. Breakfast was good. Bed was very comfortable

Cons:

The location is a bit odd and hard to get to. You cannot turn left to get to the hotel and you cannot turn left leaving. Weird.
The water did not get very hot. I was traveling for work and was looking forward to time by the pool with a good book in the afternoons. I booked this hotel for that reason. The pool looked awful and is right beside the road so very noisy. Not relaxing at all.

I would stay here again if in town
Pros:

First time I’ve had a room on 1st floor. The breakfast space was spacious and inviting. Food was good. Even though I did not use the pool, the area was mostly private and clean.

All told, the stay would have been fine if I didn't pay $350 for ONE night. Way to price gouge, HI.
Pros:

I didn't risk the breakfast. I just downed a protein shake.

Cons:

The entire property needs an upgrade. Lighting in rooms/common areas is dark and gloomy. Both soap/shampoo dispensers in room were loose. Shower faucet dripped incessantly. Everything about the property screams old and tired (like me)!

Elevator broken(we were on 3rd for) only one elevator on 3rd floor had to load our luggage up and down steps several times. My husband is 85 and a cardiac patient (which is why we were there to see ❤️doctor at UAB) even without carrying luggage 3flights of steps is a big ask. The carpet was sticky never walked on it unless had on shoes which stuck to carpet which is why I can say it was sticky. It just didn’t seem clean. The breakfast was the best part of our stay.The lady that checked us in was excellent
