Hotel was adorable, great location and beautiful room. Beautiful courtyard restaurant and bar.
The only improvement I would ask for is having a coffeemaker in the room.
Property was quaint
This was vastly overpriced.
Booked a King room and they gave it away upon arrival. AC did not go below 73 and room was HOT and extremely stuffy

Location is perfect for walking to everything in the downtown area. Just a couple blocks and you are on the riverfront boardwalk. Sits right in the historic downtown. Very cool inner courtyard area with outdoor bar. Their on-site restaurant is as good as any you find in town.
This was an unusual property with several unfriendly quirks. First is parking. It is done across the street in a third party lot. You have to go through a ridiculous procedure to register your car. The hotel should make this easier. Next the room. We stayed in room #35. The front door is 90% clear glass. In order to gain some privacy, you have to pull a drape completely across another glass panel and the door. In the room there is a money making minibar situation with snacks and yet no coffee machine and no access to coffee other than the adjacent restaurant when it is open. Also there is no ice machine. How can you not have an ice machine available for your guest? And why not have one of those automatic coffee machines in the 24-hour open lobby? Very disappointed in this hotel and will not be staying here in the future.
Clean, quiet and friendly
Air conditioner was not working correctly and woke up sweating. Seem like it never cooled
We stayed here one night. The grounds are very nice with an outdoor bar in the garden as well as several fire pits. The rooms are in several different buildings. Our room which was on the first floor…though there are a couple of steps….was a small bedroom with a queen sized bed, two nightstands, and a rod from the wall which was the “closet”, the bathroom was on the small side but had a nice sized living room area. There were cupboards with shelves in the hallway which could be used for clothes storage. The hotel was well maintained and the furniture was retro modern. Though there are outlets around the rooms there was nothing bedside to charge electronics. When we returned from dinner though we had turned on the AC, the room had not cooled down and the vent was blowing warm air, so we sought the assistance of the receptionist. He tried very hard but acknowledged that it was an old system and the AC was not working properly. He returned shortly thereafter and offered a standing fan. It made it comfortable to sleep. He certainly went above and beyond to make us comfortable. In the morning the AC was working fine. The TV listed a bunch of stations but NBC, ABC and CBS did not show those stations. Very strange. The restaurant was closed for breakfast since they were down a cook but offered free coffee and pastries. The hotel is definitely different and unique.
Nice layout and character rooms
The hotel has a nice courtyard and outdoor bar - when staffed, which it often wasn't when it was supposed to be. We found service in general to be an issue at the Arrive. The receptionist didn't return my smile when I arrived and was curt and not very nice when telling me I couldn't check in since the reservation was in my husband's name and he had to be the one checking in. My husband wasn't with me at the time because he was staying with the car on the street since there wasn't a designated place to park for new arrivals, which was also annoying. Our third floor room (no elevator) was small - all bed. The shower was good though. The day we checked out, we went to another place down the street for breakfast and when we came back to our room, at 9:00AM, housekeeping had stripped the bed and taken all the towels, but no one was in the room. Check out time was 11:00AM. When we checked out about 5 minutes later (since it seemed we had to), we told reception about it and the person seemed very defensive about our experience, like it was our fault for leaving the room with our suitcases to put in the car, and then having the nerve to return to the room two hours before checkout time. How did they know we were gone and why did they think we were gone for good? Strange. We have family in the area and will be returning to Wilmington, but we won't be staying again at the Arrive.
