Excellent location
Was very disappointed that they just did not have a coffee pot. That’s when the most basic things to put in a overnight stay. The room was nice, but it would have been nice to have had more comfortable seating in the TV area. It was like sitting on a cement block.
Location was excellent, close to all the main sights, restaurants and activities. Loved the outside spaces: the garden bar, the seating dotted around the garden and the rocker seats on the porches outside each room. Also, I ate an evening meal in the restaurant and that was delicious. Bar and restaurant staff were very nice.
Reception staff were pretty grumpy both on my arrival and exit. The car parking situation is really annoying. Not only do you have to pay $25 a day for parking, it's across the street, it's not clear from the instructions before you arrive where to park so I had some confusion working out where to go before I checked in, which meant I got a parking fine.
The rooms are surface-level stylish. The quality of the decor/painting/furniture is pretty shabby. There's no coffee machine, no ice, a sizeable fridge that's stacked with things to pay for.
There were so many cute and thoughtful touches
This is not a place to stay long term as it doesn’t have any dressers or things like that. But they do have nice gold hangers and a bar to hang some clothes and a rack for a suitcase
The location is exceptional. Although traveling for pleasure, my wife had to make a work video call earlier than our check in time. We called the day prior to inquire about an early check in and were accommodated graciously.
Absolutely no complaints. A most wonderful stay. We were celebrating our 37th anniversary and all of our favorite Wilmington restaurants were within easy walking distance of the hotel. We have been here before and will definitely repeat in the future.
Did not have breakfast there. Location was excellent.
The property was way overly curated, affected and pretentious. Its a middle range hotel. The affectation was very offputting.
You had breakfast? If so, I didn't hear about that. But there were plenty of coffee shops and diners nearby.
No much. It was really convenient for our purposes which was primarily a little relaxing and some genealogical research around the Savage family who dominated the 100 block of 3rd Street in the 1800s.
The loction was great close to everything. Relaxing in the courtyard with firepit & chairs.
Breakfast wasn't available because staff did not show up. Had business associates show up for breakfast meeting only to see a paper sign in the windows about being unexpectedly closed.
Beautiful and peaceful, the property boasts flowers and quiet spots to read or just to enjoy the weather. The gazebo bar and Dram restaurant is excellent!
Spent two nights here while exploring city for possible relocation in future. Ambiance is lovely. Restaurant and garden very nice and food is good. Service at restaurant is excellent. We did not give more stars due to housekeeping. They left very few and incomplete towel sets. They do not know how to make a bed. The flat sheets are just draped over the mattress and not properly tucked in and are slipping and sliding and bunching up all night. They only do housekeeping after three nights or on request. Which is fine if they tell you but they do not. No sign or mention at check in. We were hot and as I said the bed was a mess and the top sheet had some dirt so we put them on the floor thinking we would get new bedding but they put the old bedding back on and poorly made again. Then the towels. We left our used towels on the floor since they have no place to hang them. We left $5 and asked for extra towels. They gave us a few and left all the dirty towels on the floor, the full trash and the dirty dishes from the night before in the room. All because I did not request housekeeping. We will not be back. I get that I now know we need to request. But they need to learn how to make a bed and use common sense when bedding is on the floor.
Quaint, beautiful outdoor spaces, great location.
Rooms were dark. Restaurant wasn’t open very often
Charming property in the perfect location in downtown Wilmington.
