Pleasant hotel - spoiled by the ridiculously small breakfast area
Pros:

My room was on the 4th floor with outside open railings to get to the door. I'm not good with heights (yes, I know the 4th floor isn't high, but it's high for me when I'm looking directly down over railings lol) - they happily changed it to ground floor. Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast room was way too small for the number of guests and breakfast itself was poor, as with most hotels at this price level.

Nice Location and Friendly Staff.
Pros:

We don’t typically stay at Best Western properties but opted to this time due to price. We enjoyed our stay much more than we anticipated. The staff (every single person we interacted with over a two night stay) was friendly. Each person eager to help. A refreshing nod to how all businesses practiced good customer service 20+ years ago.

Our room had a beautiful river view and the hotel was an easy walk to the historic downtown area. Room had a mini refrigerator which was very nice too.

Bathroom shower was not as nice as comparative properties, but sink and toilet areas were acceptable. Hotel appeared to be very dog friendly, but we didn’t have a dog to weigh in on personal experience.

Parking is limited and very frustrating. Disappointing that a $15 fee per night does not guarantee a spot. A wedding reception was happening when we checked in. Those attending took all the designated hotel guest spots.

Nice View But Not Nice Accommodations
Pros:

Positives:

Beautiful view, centrally located, and tucked perfectly between the Aloft and the Embassy Suites on the Riverwalk. The staff was very accommodating and the complimentary breakfast was appreciated. Parking at $15 a night was also reasonable for the area.

Areas for Improvement:

The biggest issue was the complete lack of storage in the room. There was not even one dresser or drawer available. I actually asked if guests were expected to live out of their suitcase for multiple days and was basically told yes. My stay was $1,100 for four nights, and for that price, I should not have to live out of a suitcase. There wasn't even a drawer for toiletries like toothpaste or personal items.
Something as simple as an inexpensive IKEA dresser or storage cabinet would have completely changed my experience and likely would have made me stay.

Solution/Resolution:

To their credit, the hotel staff was accommodating and did refund my full purchase price, which I genuinely appreciate. I just think this is such a simple and fixable issue that management should pay attention to.

Losing $1,100 over the lack of a dresser or basic storage seems unnecessary. Adding even a simple IKEA drawer system would make a huge difference

Pros:

Close to everything

Cons:

Because I was a local to Wilmington, she said they weren't supposed to let me stay there. Guess my money isn't the same as out-of-towners.

Only stayed overnight. Will probably never stay there again.
Pros:

Convenience to downtown

Cons:

Old hotel with ok updates. Breakfast was terrible. Only thing worth eating was yogurt. Eggs were watery, sausage was a pale color and potato’s had no taste.

I will be back.
Pros:

Very nice room. All the staff greeted me daily with a smile. The breakfast was a nice addition before going to my meetings. Great location. I had heard there are parking problems however I did not have that issue on this trip.

Cons:

There was nothing I had an issue with on this trip.
